HG Teams (@Brawl Staff)

Hey guys, If you dont know already I was the one who ran/runs HG Teams on McPvP. I set up/approved teams, I scheduled matches, I set up the tournaments, I reffed matches, I made the forum posts about how to set up a team and etc. I'm not sure how HG Teams is going to be run on brawl and I have a few questions.

Questions:

Am I going to be able to retain my position on running HG Teams or is brawl going to take over?

Are we going to get a Teams server like we did on McPvP? If not how will matches be ran?

If we do get a teams server will me and the other refs be able to have the perms we need to ref matches?

How/Who can I contact to set these things up and request help with certain things?

"Why was it so important to have approved HG teams?" There always should be some guidelines, if we just let anyone make a team there would be tons of trolls or people who have no idea what they're doing. If we set some basic guidelines (aka, min 10 members must have skype, must make a official team forum post) then people would actually have to put some effort into making a team. It also would show that they are willing to follow the guidelines. The main thing is it would be really bad if anyone could just make a team. How we had it was really organized and worked just fine.

"Are there also tournaments for HG teams just like for CTF teams?" We were going to have one around now but mcpvp shut down before we could. HG Teams was a relatively new thing (aka 2 months) when mcpvp shut down. Short answer: There was plans to have multiple elimination style HG Teams tournaments.

I ran every aspect of HG Teams on mcpvp and I would love to take part in it on brawl. I don't feel like HG Teams is getting the respect that it deserves though, nobody has reached out to us about how things are going to go down.

There was >30 and HG Teams was only around for a month.

 

The rules where that you had to be unofficial for 1 month (4 weeks.) The rules also state that you need to schedule an official match a week in advance. 5 MATCHES took place the FIRST DAY possible. When there was only 5 official teams. After 5 weeks from HG Teams opening mcpvp was updating to 1.8 and the BBH server was shut down for a week and a half.... then it came back up and 3 days later it shut down again because mcpvp was shutting down.

BASICALLY: Around the max official matches POSSIBLE happenedt.
