Allow joining in the middle of matches (For some gamemodes)

    For some gamemodes, you should be able to join in the middle of the game.

    The main ones where this would be used are tdm, ctf, and gungame. OITC and Infection shouldn't allow this, as then latecomers would have an advantage. (maybe join Infection as a zombie though?)

    Thoughts?

    This is a planned feature in War 2.0. Not sure how it'll work with some gamemodes though.

    We could easily allow infect. It just means more zombies! It would be perfect because then if root is having difficulties he can have a bit of help. Honestly as long as the people don't join the regular side we should be allowed infect for this.

    I have heard people say this will be in 2.0. Just wait and see.

    I like it, but when will join join the game? when you are going from hub to server? any commands?

    when you are in the mc war server, but not playing do you have to do a command to join? like /war joingame idk...

    there is an even easier option by adding in /gm 3 so you can teleport to people in game.


    Every player should have a redstone torch in their inventory which says ''Spectator Mode'' and when you basically click it there should come up a large inventory with everyone's head whoever is playing on that war server and then you basically click the player you wanna spectate, and if you wanna teleport to someone else you do the same thing.

    He understands exactly what he's saying, and it's rude to accuse him, particularly incorrectly. Someone asked if the thread is for joining or spectating, @steneros and I said that it was about joining (which is correct - that's the point of the whole thread). You said it was about spectating, which it isn't. The only thing in the whole thread about spectating is YOUR posts.

    Um, don't see how this is relevant...
    Spectating = Watching the game
    Joining = Playing the game

    The original post and all further posts except YOUR discussion were about joining, not spectating.

    I agree with soccerstars' point.
    Infected would be suitable for this idea in its implementation.
    This would be great for players who want to join while in the lobby.

    I do have one idea. Players should be given a choice, because I find sometimes I AFK in the lobby and/or do the parkour for fun.
