    Before I start, I'd like to state that this is a pretty broad topic. I'm going to elaborate as best as I can for unfamiliar brawl players.

    Elite used to be an old server that was hosted on mcpvp. It was a hardcore pvp server, similar to pvp survival here. Although, there was a huge twist with elite. A lot of aspects were changed to make its environment more "hardcore."

    Such aspects include:
    • No enchantments on swords or armor.
    • Enchantments are only available on tools (pickaxes, axes, shovels..) and bows.
    • Potions are not usable.
    • Soup healing and animal catching mechanics are available.
    • Mooshrooms are not able to be bred, there's a limited number of them on the entire server.
    Of course, certain commands (such as /warp set, /track, etc.) are present.

    These changes made game play more enjoyable and challenging. Players would have to think of new strategies, such as traps and new pvp methods.

    What I'm proposing here is to bring elite back. I'm fairly certain that brawl players would like to be introduced to this play style, I also believe that a number of mcpvp players would love to see elite return.

    Anyways I have played Elite on McPvP before and yes, it is pretty fun.

    I was thinking: why couldn't we turn the McPvP side of Brawl back into how it used to be with 2012, except with some of the awesome new gamemodes? We're getting HG, CTF and Build, which are popular McPvP servers and Brawl is getting a lot of McPvP players from it. It'd be great to see Sabotage, Maze Runner, Siege (well, a LoL themed gamemode is upcoming so y'know), Zone Control, Headshot .ect... obviously it wouldn't be done any time soon, but it'd be well worth it in my opinion.

    During 2012, McPvP was the most popular Minecraft server. Ever. Why can't it be the most popular Minecraft server again?

    I don't think that'd be a problem. Mcpvp was in the same situation, they had a server like pvp survival and one like elite. Both servers got plenty of players on them daily.

    I'd like for Elite to return. I really would. But I'd like to remind everyone that simply bringing the server back from the grave after being gone about 2 years, would really make it as popular as it once was.

    Didn't the death ban last 1 minute? I think that's acceptable. It makes your experience more challenging, while not ruining it at the same time.

    Actually, there's logic behind the 1 minute death ban alone causing Raid to die.

    So in games, there's these things called "exit points". Exit points are points where players will... exit, and there's 2 types - intentional and unintentional. Intentional could be a save point (such as in most Super Mario games), whereas unintentional could be death. Now the thing with exit points is, typically you don't want people to leave your game/server, but obviously they're gonna have to. You would want them to leave on a happy note, so that when they put down your game, its just for the night instead of forever.

    Obviously death isn't going to be a "happy note" if you leave, so you need to make sure your players don't leave your game/server when they die. So then - I don't need to go over how to make a death not make you want to leave for raid, because McPvP forced players to leave instead. If they removed the death ban and replaced it with respawning with an iron sword, 8 soups and full iron, it'd have made a lot more new players stick around on the server and learn what the shop and tracking does.

    Sure, there's other reasons, but you'd be surprised how much of a big one the death ban would be.

    Probably a good thing, as those gamemodes had a ton of bugs. It depends if re-coding all those gamemodes is worth it.

    The reason why I came to Brawl was because how original the game-modes are, and I don't think they need something like this distracting them from a bigger update. The reason why Elite is dead is because no one played it, if they open it up they're just setting it up for failure. -1
