    I think they should fix the current problems before adding more stuff, which potentially could contain more problems. As much as I'd love to see stuff like Wild West and DayZ come out, it'd be best to have 2 quality gamemodes than 20 buggy ones.

    I recall someone telling me that, due to the contract between Chap and hclewk, McPvP servers need to be out by mid-June. If this is true, an exception can (and probably should) be made, but I think they should focus on fixing the current problems than adding more stuff.

    If that is true, and Chap agreed to that he is dumb, they shouldn't be rushed into adding new gamemodes so they can claim rights, they should claim files and add them when appropriate.

    This is hclewk we're talking about, he's very hard to negotiate with But at the same time, they're not really "new" gamemodes. They just need to get them set up, which would usually take much less than a month.

    I'm no coder but its safe to say that sometimes starting fresh is a good thing. Depending on how old/frequently they recoded or added things to their current gamemodes things can get messy. As things get messier it gets more tedious updating and enhancing an old game to keep up with the times. There is a certain point where updating an older game is less efficient than making a fresh and better (people improve and new platforms/ideas develop over time) gamemode.

    Yeah, its a bit alarming seeing them do so many gamemodes at once but if they pull it off well the payoff will be rather phenomenal.

    I taught myself how to code.

    The catch is you have to prioritize all your work and start at the #1 most important thing....if you do this out of sequence or really don't think through things then it messes up everything.

    Chap might get lazy and add the gamemodes at a later date. I've already seen threads from the McPvP people on when Ctf, HG, and McBuild will be relaunched.
