Ban Appealing Suggestion

    It has come to my attention that two fellow mcpvpers/brawl"ers" were falsely banned. One is seen here changing sensitivity to hyperspeed and then banned because of kill-aura.


    Another one was banned for "fly hacking" when he was refilling apparently (I don't have all the facts yet), but that is besides the point. When I asked them if they had appealed, they said that brawl didn't have a ban appeal system and that the only way to play again is to pay $5 for being falsely banned. This causing them to want to leave brawl already..
    Therefore I suggest we should add a ban appeal system if we don't have one, but if we do, then we should enforce it when someone gets banned. Mods/Admins make mistakes and the players shouldn't have to pay $5 just to play again. To me that makes us look money happy, and I don't think we are that.

    We have had a few false bans recently, but let me explain a few things about Brawl's system.

    For one we do have a ban appeal system, which can be found here.

    Another thing is that KitPvP is one of Brawl's only sword combat servers. Some mod's and admin's are not fully familiarized with commom pvp hacks, but we are improving. There will be slim to none false bans due to the GMOD rank being created which enables full ban powers; but proof is needed for the ban.

    If someone is falsely banned it will be easy to tell. Sufficient proof is needed with reports in order to ban, unless you are an SMOD+.

    We have a ban appeal system here. If you are denied then you are then given the option to buy an unban.
    This video doesn't really help your argument as you are saying McPvPers are "skilled at PvP and have lots of strategies". In the video it just shows someone trying to imitate forcefield by flaunting around making themselves look as they have forcefield activated.

    The Admins have been doing a pretty crappy job banning people, and that is really affecting the servers. I've heard the false ban count of MCPVP players is six...

    However, on MCPVP this was actually bannable so I don't know about here...

    I played MCPVP for 3 years and I never heard anything about banning off hyperspeed although I might be wrong. Usually most people who do it record it, therefore they can show it's a false ban.

    Excellent point, I think that us MCPVPers think that everyone is familiarize with our pvp "style" but that is not the case. Thank you!

    I recall multiple instances where people were imitating hacks, and got banned. Most of them stayed banned, but a few admins were nice enough to unban. It wasn't hyperspeed that got them banned, it was pretending to hack or making it appear as if you are hacking...

    They're trying to imitate hacking to get banned? Then it's their fault. For all I care, they can stay banned.

    If you're trying to get banned, don't act like it's not your fault when it happens. IMO he should stay banned, since that's what he wanted, isn't it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I understand that, but the base of this post was to try and inform myself of a ban appeal system of some kind whether falsely or rightfully banned. Thanks for your opinion on the matter!

    I understand what you mean! The point of this was to find/see if there was a ban appeal system whether they be rightfully or wrongfully banned and if they should stay banned or not. Thanks for the feedback! Means a lot! :grinning:

    Ok so I was the guy who made the video, my point was that the Mods on here were not really experienced enough for the KitBrawl server, as many other CTFers and previous MCPVPers have been falsely banned. I already had a talk with chickenputty. I was pardoned, and he is having a talk with the mods about combat hacks and how to detect them easier. I understand that my video shows me swinging around with hyperspeed, but other friends have been banned for just pvping. It was a call-out to the brawl staff that they will lose all the MCPVPers they gained with their inexperience in combat hacks. It is understandable however because every single server on here has guns. KitBrawl will soon too.

    Idgaf if anybody is a mcctf veteran if staff think they hack they shouldn't be unbanned.
