Kill farming in the lobby

I just saw someone doing this in the lobby today, but I don't know how it could be prevented. Unless they made it something like if you kill the same person twice in a row it doesn't count.

 

This sounds like a viable solution.

 

Who here could possibly be kill farming?

 

Hey, I've legit killed the same person several times in a row in the three games I've played so far. I figure out who the easiest players are to kill and I target them... I've gotten the sword 2/3 games I've played doing that. :3

 

I'm just wondering if anything could be done about this as I'm starting to see lots of people do this in order to cheat everyone else out of the iron sword.

I'll often see one person just sitting in front of spawn and the other person just continually running in and dying to them.

They had no soup though so i rekt them

 

I think this wouldn't be a good solution because what if there are 5 players in the lobby but only you and another player go out and fight, you wouldn't get any kills. This might help with the farming(although I haven't seen any farming) but will make other problems too. I can't think of something to fix this...

 

How about when you die, you get put in "spectate mode" for ~10-15 seconds like in other games, where you can fly around and watch people before respawning.

Also make it so you can't take off your armor to make it inefficient to farm kills.

 

15 seconds is a long time and while people are trying to get kills times is precious. Although I do like the no-off-armor idea!

 

Hm this is definitely a problem I could see ruining some games.
A potential fix would be stopping players from killing a player they just killed for 30 secs? So you can't continuously kill them. Or perhaps as suggested before, stopping players from being able to take their armour off could be a temporary fix as it takes longer to kill them, yet it's still a problem.

I'll post here again if I personally think of anything else.

 

30 seconds would be WORSE!!!! I think the not allowed to take off armor is the best idea.

 

It does seem like the most plausible idea at the moment, yet it seems that people can still boost their kills even if they aren't allowed to take armour off, it just makes it less convenient.

 

they shold add a plugen to make so they can talk off armor

 

Yes I know that, but for now it is a good fix.

 

The person taking off the armor is probably the best thing you can do right now, farming kills isn't really cheating but more of an annoyance. I don't want anyone thinking that they should be punished, so the armor is the best and only idea that we should do.
