My little sister isn't allowed to play because of this

    Recently my little sister was playing the survival games on mcpvp (I like that name better than brawl) and someone said in the chat "I am a 43 year old pedophile". My sister didn't know that word and asked my mom and she got very concerned. She saw the text and the man had now added "I like to f*ck little girls", except it wasn't censored. Now my sister is no longer allowed to play on mcpvp.

    I think pedophile definitely needs to be censored. Also, I thought words like f*ck were already censored out. Apparently they aren't.

    My sister is crying in her bed because she likes mcpvp so much.

    Mcpvp needs to realize that most of the people who play are kids. They are most of the community, at least as much as I have seen. I could be wrong, but there are kids that play, and words that suggest anything sexual should be censored.

    I know he is probably joking and I tried to tell my mom that, but she won't let her play.

    Please try to find a way to keep people like this out.

    Good call out by your mom. I think the words should be censored and a player like that should be banned out right.

    1. He wasn't being sarcastic and he didn't appear to show any hate in his message.
    2. This thread is exaggerated or based off of a fake event. This is proven by the fact that "****" is censored both in the game and on the forums.
    3. Also, please refer to Brawl/McBrawl as McBrawl/Brawl not McPvP...
    4. Lastly, you should have disabled chat before you let your sister get on, the internet should be rated at least PG-13, not a place for most 4 year olds.

    I can guarantee you that this is a real event, but you can believe whatever you want. Also, it is not censored on all servers, as I continue to see it in other game modes such as war. Plus, people will add on extra letter or spaces so it isn't censored. Mcpvp is a cooler name and I don't know how to disable chat.

    See? This is the reason we have a filter. I like how the McPvP community complains about it, but then you get **** like this.

    Maybe minimize the chat or even completely remove it and continue playing on the server without any communication with others through the chat room. It may be very disadvantageous (not sure if that's a word) but it'll be a good way around this profanity thing.

    No need to edit that. We know your whole quote and it was a tiny misunderstanding.

    Well, just because that guy calls himself a pedo, doesen't mean he can f*ck her?
    He doesen't even know where you and ur sister live. You could maybe just turn chat off when she plays?

    This is why this idea I came up with could have a lot of potential. It could be set to very strong, where any word that is remotely derogatory or inappropriate is censored.

    However, it could also be set to off, so that people who are fine with those words such as myself don't have to get interrupted by the chat censor.

    They could always change the system. I, along with many other McPvPers, are getting really annoyed with the chat system. Of course it shouldn't be high priority, but it'd be something I'd love to see in the future when all the upcoming gamemodes are sorted out.
