From the main screen, click Options > Chat Settings > Chat [Shown | Commands Only | Hidden]. Commands Only can help if you don't want to completely disable chat, but gamemodes with a Shout command like CTF or Creative will bypass this.

I agree that the word should be censored. It is in most cases useless, and can often lead to flame and/or situations as such.

Your mom made the right call, and you should respect her for being a good parent. This is one reason why most people disagreed with the removing of the chat filter - our community is based mostly off children. We are a family-friendly server, and I'm sure parents want that too.

I'm sorry this happened to your sister. I hope those words get censored, however the "f word" is censored? Perhaps the person bypassed the filter. I hope your sister finds your mom's trust again, and situations like such do not happen ever again.

Tip: Disabling the chat will help keep messages away, while still maintaining the fun and enjoyment for your sister.

Many MCPVP'ers spend the first month here at brawl whining like a bunch of five year old about how they can't swear and use abusive and agressive language in the chat whenever they want. Because if they can't, the world will go under and massive live onions will make humanity go extinct. And when we actually listen to the tons of whining about this topic and remove the chat filter, the exact thing that everyone with more than 1 brain cell tought would happen, happens.

I really want to go up to the faces of the people that wanted the chat filter removed, and say: "I told ya!"

And regarding the poll, of course I have seen people like this on McPvP as well as brawl. That means nothing.
The consistency of these people is what matters .

 

someone baypassed and i tried many combinations and I could not find any possible combinations that would not censor the f- word. Like ivbe done fu.** and those stuff. but next time when you play please report it so that everyone can play

 

The word pedophile does not need to be censored, because I could be warning somebody "Hey, that guy is a pedophile" It would be dangerous to have this censored!

Why would you ever have to warn somebody about a pedophile in a minecraft chat!? I mean, if you are going to take that approach, you might aswell uncensore F*ck just in case someone is actually called that.

I agree that if a young player is on u should turn the chat off because of all those mean people out there she could see the bad words and say them a lot which is really really bad so which she should turn chat off i bet mom doesn't want her daughter walking around everywhere saying bad qords mom would get really mad her face might explode she will blame it on who veber plays minecraft and tht will be it she will probaly never stop saying bad words though hopefully she doesnt habe a great day!!!! Keep your sister safe to from bad/mean people so she doesnt learn thwm so i suggest turn chat off

Even if it were censored its pretty easy to determine what "I like to **** little girls" is. But yeah, for some reason a lot of newer players are abusing the no chat filter which can get annoying. The chat filter wouldn't stop this from happening. HG should be getting more mods once it fully releases to police the chats more.

 

no i got banned for mainly 'fly hacking'
i might just buy unban.
