I still wouldnt really care because I'm not American, however; America is usually like, yea lets 'help' here and there and I hope they don't help my country with bombs and stuff

I'd laugh at the stupidity of at least 51% of the american population... then balk a little at the implications that that has for Canada.

That other dude is correct, here there is a bad system called the electoral college, which basically makes it that presidents go for key 'swing' states to win. Its a winner take all system. For example, if candidate A got 51% of New York, and candidate B got 49% if New York, candidate A won the state of New York and now has 30 electoral votes, while B got 0, even though he basically had half of the state on him.

So the presidential race basically takes place in these swing states where the state could go either way in terms of votes.

 

He will never be elected....there was a story that broke today that he had to pay people to show up to his rally.

Besides being racist, retarded, and regrettable he doesn't have much of a platform and this is really about his ego running rather than having a legitimate chance.

The republican nomination is on open field. Personally, I think Jeb Bush has the best chance especially if paired with Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio as a running mate. As a party the republicans have pigeonholed themselves as a more regional party (based in the south) due to all their racist and sexist comments/agendas.

I would not vote for him...unless he gave me 5 million dollars.

I was aware of that, but for the purposes of a joke I made a simplification.

It's such a weird system. If they've got the means to count the precise number of votes you'd think it'd be easier to just add them up and take the averages.

But as you said, I'm clearly not American. I'unno what you guys do but still, I'd laugh at whatever percentage of voters voted for Trump.
