Idea War Z Bows

I think that War Z is a great game; it is strategic and realistic. However, I think that just having firearms as ranged weapons is stupid. Don't get me wrong: the guns are great. But there could be other ranged weapons, mainly, the bow and crossbow.
I know that there used to be a flame bow in the early days. I never saw one, and I don't really like the principle. Flame bows are pretty unrealistic. If War Z could add normal bows and arrows, that would be great. Here's what I think they should be like:

BOWS:

• The bows should have normal draw time and appearance.
• To compensate for their slow draw, bows should deal high damage (Not entirely sure how much, I'll let Brawl take care of that, but I was thinking maybe around a tier I or II sniper; maybe 4 hearts) This is probably possible via plugins; I tried to make bows more powerful via command blocks, and while I did make a concept, it is not 100% foolproof and has some glitches.
  
• Arrows would be the bow's ammo and would be about the rarity of one type of ammo (e.i. as rare as automatic ammo only, not all ammo combined) You would find them in groups of 4.
  
  

CROSSBOWS:

• To fire the crossbow, just right click. The bow reloads itself and has a series of clicks to simulate the string being pulled back. Unlike a bow, once it is loaded, you can switch items and the crossbow will still be loaded.
• This is even slower than the draw of the bow, so its damage must be much higher. I was thinking maybe around the damage of a Barret. When shot, the bolt is very accurate for 50 meters and then drops drastically.
• The Bolt is the ammo for the crossbow. It is as rare as arrows, but only comes in pairs of 2s.

All in all, I think that (cross)bows and arrows/bolts would be a great addition to War Z. Feel free to vote, add comments, and add suggestions to this idea.

 

EhvahnObvsHacks, I agree with your idea about extra ammo and making it harder to find. I also agree that War Z is a gun server. However, they also have swords. It's not entirely guns. One more thing: why wouldn't people use the bow if they found it? Sure, if they have tier III/IV stuff they'd probably just leave it. Just like they would do to tier I and II weapons. New players, players who just died, or players in lower zones would probably take bows as their primary or secondary weapons.

 

Just a question, what is fast bow? Is it a mod/plugin or is it a hack?

 

I'm not talking about the flame bow. Sure, It's better than nothing, but I'm mainly talking about regular old bows

 

As I said, bows would be as powerful as tier II snipers. While experienced, well equip players would skip over them, I honestly think that players with starting gear would take bows until they got a gun better than it. I'm thinking about what you said with fire-rate. I'd say that sniper rifles take as long, if not longer to reload as bows. Because of that, bows could become very good for long ranged kills, maybe even for medium ranged. The only disadvantage of the bow would be that you can't use it at close range. Turn a corner and draw a bow... bang you're dead cause a guy with a gun kills you. Ineffective for close range, but very effective at further ranges.
