    As some of you know, many of the once 1.8 only servers are reverting to both 1.7 and 1.8. (Examples include MCGamer, Mineplex [only 1.8 exclusive for a few days]). My petition is for Brawl to downgrade as well. Many of the 1.8 features can be re-created easily in 1.7, and 1.8 blocks just look ugly and should be replaced either way.

    Most scoreboard options in 1.8 can be re-done with plugins, and things like borders can be re-created with bedrock walls, or the original hg forcefield.

    Personally I don't mind 1.8, (I did in February, remember that chickenputty? XD) but 1.7 was probably my favorite. 1.7 is the version that I actually used, (as in played reg survival with it and survival servers) and it did lag a LOT less.

    But, 1.8 lag did get fixed a little, so now I can easily play.

    Really I'm undecided. Maybe vote on servers that can be changed (not the entire network)

    I don't see a point in creating an unnecessary workload by downgrading to 1.7, other then making a handful of players happy that they can pvp the way they're used to. As you said, plugins, the border, and scoreboard would have to be re-worked. What real benefits come to the servers by also creating a 1.7 version?

    P.S. 1.8 blocks don't look ugly. That's not true since they're for aesthetic purposes.
    It's either the entire network staying on 1.8, or all servers get downgraded to 1.7 (definitely not an option). It would be way too weird to have certains servers on 1.7 and other ones on 1.8. Plus, it would be a hassle to constantly switch versions to go on another server.

    Downgrading the community to an older update I don't think is really that necessary.

    Exactly what I was thinking. I remember how annoying it was to switch to party because of this.

    While the idea itself is fine, you have to take in account for it's execution. Personally, I'm fine with the 1.8, I don't see it as an issue.

    Brawl games have become more professional and more fun due to 1.8 features. I'm fine with 1.8 but, I don't see why we would need to downgrade.

    more professional - sorta true, more fun - lol wut no.

    knowing that most of the brawl community aren't necessarily pvpers, i can see why 1.8 would be appealing, but if you are at least decent at pvp you would prefer 1.7

    Yeah it sounds like a lot of worthless work. I have now gotten used to 1.8 pvp, but 1.7 was better.

    But if we were going to downgrade why stop at 1.7, lets go back to 1.2.5.

    1.8 is fine based on the features provided.

    The real improvement would be to fix the bugs like that clan glitch which hasn't been fixed in like 7 months.
