    Brawl Moderator Application:

Have you read over this thread? - I have read over the thread multiple times, and believe I could do this job.

What is your in-game name? - Doges
Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. - MaximLunin -> Doges
Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? - Nobody else has had access to my account, nor do I plan on giving anybody else access.
How old are you? - I am 16 years of age.
What time zone are you in? - Central (I live near Chicago, IL)
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? -I can in fact speak multiple languages. I'll go ahead and describe my experience in each one.

Russian - I can speak, read, and write fluently in Russian. It is my native language (fun fact!), and should anyone Russian happen to need help I can definitely explain to them. The only thing may hold me back though is that the keyboard on my main computer doesn't have Russian letters.

German- I can hold and understand a pretty basic conversation in German. I've taken this language at my school, and passed with an A every time.

English - I have been speaking English for about 8 to 10 years now, and can speak, read, and write fluently in English. I get mostly A's in my English classes in school, so I can say that I can speak this language well.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -

I started off my Minecraft Adventure/Experience one day when I went to a friends house, and they showed me this game they got. I actually still keep in touch with this person, and they are an active player on MCPVP/Brawl. I was immediately hooked, and got the game soon after. When I got the game, I was just messing around on single player. My first multiplayer experience was on my friends server. This was in 1.1/1.2 MC update. I remember it being just a FFA raid server with little to no plugins. It was a blast at the time, even though I met some people I didn't really like there. After that, I was googling around, and found a server network called MuttsWorld. I sort of stopped playing my friends server, and was hooked with their "Raid/SurvivalPVP" server. I met some new people on there, and stayed with the network for about a year until getting banned. On the 18th of June, 2012, the same friend who showed me MC, convinced me to join the MCPVP HG servers. At the time, it was way different than the current HG(Full with 150 players almost instantly), and I got into their network pretty easily. Eventually, MCPVP released the "Sabotage" gamemode, and I got into playing that for a little bit. Also, around that same time, I started playing MCPVP's Raid on the side, which eventually died. Around the summer of 2013, I randomly found the IP to the private build server posted on the forums, and got hooked onto that. Eventually, the server was released to the public, and I still stayed active on it. The first thing me and my friend did together was make a sabotage map since we were both still active on "Sabotage". The map was accepted, and the ID is 1751 if you wish to view (Keep in mind, it isn't either of our best maps). The following year flew by pretty fast after I found build. I kept making sabotage maps, and playing on all of MCPVP's servers, with nothing really changed. Eventually, on 17 May 2015, Brawl bought MCPVP, and I became active on the Brawl network, playing WarZ/MCBuild.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I have been a moderator/owner on a couple of small servers that me and my friend rented. However, none really got over 10 players at a time, or were popular. Even though the server(s) never got popular and had cliche names like CreeperCraft, I still learnt how to manage even a small crowd of players.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - I will provide the following to the community if I am promoted, and am providing some of these currently.

Building Assistance - This is the main thing I believe I can offer. I have (and will continue) been helping many people with their builds. Sometimes I just randomly tp to people and give them some feedback on their build, and other times I'll help someone with gameplay on a gamemode map. Back on MCPVP, I did some reviews for sabotage maps, and had a build tutorial series (I got to 16 or 17 tutorials). I am redoing this series, and did my first post on detailing recently, considering I can't access any of my old posts. I plan to continue this as actively as I did on MCPVP.

Chat Moderation - While I can't really do anything now as far as chat moderation besides PM'ing a mod, I plan to keep an active eye on chat as that will be one of the duties of JMOD.

Company- This one is sort of irrelavant, but I'll mention it anyways. On TS3, sometimes I will join a channel and just meet the new people inside of it, and get to know the gamemode they are playing. In game , I typically accept any friend requests and team with most people. I will continue doing this.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have used a hacked client before, but it was over two years ago.
Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - I used to be a complete idiot on servers, and got banned as a result. I was banned on MuttsWorld for X-Ray, and on MCPVP for hacking twice, and a couple other small servers for spam/hacks. Most of my incidents with mutes/bans/kicks were over two years ago, so I don't really believe I am the same person.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My greatest strength is not saying things when they come to my head. I don't really talk out of rage, and am calm a good amount of time. I don't swear typically, and keep a cool head.
What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My greatest weakness is not being outspoken, or excessively talkative in voice chat. I don't really talk too much in 5+ person discussions, although I certainly do listen. Something I've noticed I find easier is talking in text, rather than voice. I have been improving upon this, however. I try to join some channels that are more populated on TS, which helps me.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? - I consider myself very active on Brawl since MCPVP bought the servers. I go on the servers every day, and will hopefully continue to do so in the future.
Which Brawl servers are you most active on? - I am active on MinecraftBuild and Mc-WarZ, both around equally. However, I have a lot more experience in MinecraftBuild, so I wanted to apply for this server.

Here are some of my most recent maps and best maps (Most to least recent I made on MinecraftBuild). Please ignore the chests in maps as they were made for a gamemode that required them.

    /map 196302 (Tropical 100x100 map)
    /map 202337 (100x100 Wasteland-Style map)
    /map Waterdale (100x100- A medieval town)
    /map Vikings (100x100 plot)
    /map V (Parkour Map)

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? - I can provide around 3-5 hours a day on MCBrawl during summer/weekends, and 1-3 during the school year.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? - I'll go into detail with each violation below.

Portal Trapping (Tricking people into going into Nether Portals - Common on Build)
    -
    1) Ask them to break the portal, and tell them it isn't allowed.
    2) Explain to anybody stuck how to alt+f4 or get out.
3)/kick them for an hour - or up to 24 if I have perms to do so in the future.
    4) Report them to someone else for further punishment if needed (ex. another mod caught him as well)

    Chat Violation (Spam)
    1) Tell the person to stop spamming.
    2) If it is very excessive, kick the user and /prune the chat.
    3) /mute them for 1,5, 10 minutes depending on how many times I've told them to stop.
    4) Take screenshots in case they complain.

    Chat Violation (Advertising/Profanity/Caps/Insulting)
    1) Tell them to stop advertising, swearing, or using all caps. If they are swearing/using caps, I'd tell them to do it at a private map where everyone is ok with it.
    2) Depending on severity, /kick.
    3) /prune chat if it is excessively offensive.
    4) /mute for 1,5,10 minutes depending on how many times they did it.
    5) Take screenshots in case of a complaint.

    Hacking (Other Servers)
    1) Open up FRAPS
    2) Start recording and send the evidence to somebody who can deal with bans (SMod+)
    3) Tell people to stop hackusating if they are doing so.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? -
Most forum violations I'd deal with similarly.
    1) Tell the user in a PM to stop whatever they are doing.
    2) Use the report feature.
    3) If it is in MCBuild section (or any section I have perms to), and the original post is violating, I'd lock the thread.
    4) If the thread pertains to something illegal, then directly message someone of power on TS/Skype.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? -

    TS Name-
I'll probably be pretty lenient, but if it if offensive, or something stupid, I will PM them to change their name. If they don't stop to do so in a reasonable amount of time, I will kick them from the server.

    Playing ACTUAL Music-
I would move them to the "Music and Recording" channel.

Making weird sounds, blowing into mic, background noise, etc-
I would tell them about their offense, and if they aren't doing it on purpose, I will wait for them to fix it for about a minute, and then set them on "Force Push to talk"/"muted" until they message me they have resolved their issue. If it is on purpose, I would move them into the "Rules" channel, and keep them on "Jailed" until they say they understand. For repeat offenses, I would begin to apply the "Muted" rank, and kick.

    Spamming chat/bad avatar/bad description-
Set to chat muted for 1,5,10 minutes depending on how many times they have spammed. If it involves the avatar/description, I would ask them to change it

    Trolling/Excessive Swearing-
I would move them to the "Private Support/Jail Channel" and tell them to stop.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? - I'll list the steps below.
    1) Start recording with FRAPS/take screenshots so I can get evidence of people abusing.
    2) State that people should stop abusing the glitch, and warn that anyone breaking any rules will be punished.
    3) See if there is a friend/mod/anyone I can get on to assist me.
    4) /mute after a a warning to(If I have the perms) anybody who seems to be causing ruckus in the chat. In these situations, there's almost always someone doing stuff like that.
    5) Try and find out from a player what the glitch is and how to reproduce it to report it.
    6) When an Admin+ does get on, message them about the incident. Send them any screenshots/the video.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - None.
What is the date of the last application you submitted? - None.

Do you have a working microphone? - Yes, I have a working microphone. It isn't anything special, but it works.
Are you able to record and upload videos? - Yes, I have the full version of FRAPS and am able to record at 30 FPS and upload videos.

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? - Yes I do.
/kick - I know what it does and how to use this. This is pretty much a tempban command as well.
/mute - Again, one of those self-explanatory commands. For muting chat offenders.
    /prune - Clears chat
/fp [map]_gamemode -I'm not applying for MCWar, but I see how this can be used if I were promoted to full mod.

Additionally, I know how to set teamspeak ranks, and I'm guessing the Lock/Unapprove functions for the forums will be self-explanatory.

Anything else we should know about you? - I'm from MCPVP. I've been a member of MCBuild for about two years when it was "private", and also recently joined Kodo/Brawl BT and am working on a building project for each (PM me if needed, don't want to reveal too much). I also had a couple of maps accepted for the MCPVP network when it was around.

Also, regarding forum activity. While I may not have 300+ posts, I am pretty active when it comes to the forums. On MCPVP, during a span of ~3 years, I acquired around 3,500 posts in total (~2.5k on YAF, ~1k on Discourse). Hopefully that isn't a large setback as I tend to check the forums every ~2 hours. Also, there aren't that many topics in MCBuild, so that also contributes to "inactivity"

Thanks for your feedback Ritzy. In-game, I am actually very active, and made the following projects on build. All of these maps took time to make, so hopefully it will prove my activity over the last two years. Keep in mind that I started pretty low on building skill, and I'll show the worst screenshots first, and my latest builds last. This will also show a transformation of building skills to those curious. P.S If you see chests, ignore them, and if you wish to check them out in-game for proof/curiosity, PM me and I'll give you the ID's. Also the side of the TAB is glitched.

Great application and you are active in game and on teamspeak. I do recommend posting a little more on the forums, but from what I see, you look like you're on daily.

You seem to know a lot about the server, which shows that you know everything that there is. Your application is very detailed, I have seen you on TeamSpeak, not really in-game but I haven't really gone on Build yet. Overall, +1. Good luck!

You have great knowledge of Build. You're good at building. Active in-game and on TeamSpeak. Proven trustworthy by helping with a certain map.
    Definitely a +1.

    Good luck!

I have just one more question. Have you ever forged a screenshot with the intent of defaming another member?

I explained this to Cuddled already today in TeamSpeak. When a moderator who I didn't really know got promoted, I asked my friend over skype who it was. I don't really talk to this person anymore, they moved on from minecraft. So, they reply back with a forged screenshot, and I believed it, and posted on the forums, and messaged the current admin at the time. After that, I didn't really get a chance to explain it to everyone else, and so I just tried to forget about it thinking nobody really knew about it. This happened over a year ago. I dug myself a hole by not really explaining it, and recently I'm finding out that a good portion of people know the wrong story, and I think even the victim does. Unfortunately, the only person who can really back me up is @dotcomdog - who also knows this person who faked the screenshot, and I don't have any real evidence of this anymore. Even though it may sound untruthful at this point to some MCPVP people who I realize now knew about this - this is what happened.
