Recently I have asked a few questions about people who I have reported, who were not banned. (You can view these here and here) Well, according to 8vo (the super-mod), when it comes to hacking/glitching out of the map, players are only banned if they have done this multiple times. What I am proposing is a system, that once a player is reported for hacking/glitching out of the map (or just breaking the rules in general), if the player will not be banned for the offence, the next time they join mc-war, they will receive a message that only they can see. This message will tell them that they have been caught breaking the rules, and will also warn them not to break the rules again. I have seen many players have a "They can't do anything to me" attitude. I believe that this message will discourage the players who think the admins and mods don't care, or aren't watching, while providing them with a fair warning before being banned for "excessive exploiting." Thank you for reading this. Please leave a comment stating what you think about this idea, and don't forget to vote!

Seems like a good idea with easy implementation.

I like the idea but when it prompts them with the text "You have been warned" it should include an URL so they can appeal to the report just in case it was false.

That's what made me wonder why this was not already implemented.
Excellent idea. I was wondering about what would happen if they were framed after I posted this.
    I agree.

This is great. Seems like it takes little work to do anyway. Just warn them and take away that smug attitude.

Exactly! Those players with smug attitudes have been bothering me for a while now. Edit: I like the way this is heading. Three mods have replied in favor to this idea so far. Come on putty and orange, where are you guys? I would really like if one of the administrators replied in favor of this idea. I really hope it is implemented.

With those players you just have to smile, nod, and keep on your way.

The message could be something like "You have been caught hacking/glitch abusing. This is you one and only warning. Visit our forums at www.multiplayerservers.com under "Reports" to find your offense." Just a suggestion, or something along those lines.

The URL link should lead you directly where you can apply for an appeal.

    ./warn <player> <reason>
    Should be that.

True. That would possibly require a little more coding, but I'm sure the devs could easily handle it  The command for this could be "/warn (username) (forum thread link)" to give them a warning, and "/cwarn (username)" to check the users warnings. Again, just throwing out ideas.

Best to do something all the way than rush a product that will lead to problems.
    I like your input!

I've always wanted a cage where people can stare at rule breakers (mostly people out of map) and give them punishments.

I see your point. I do not think this would be that popular for mc-war community.

Lol, this reminds me of a prison xD But then they can come online and possibly rage. So not sure if that is the best idea

I think there are a couple servers that do that right at their spawn. It would be a bit creepy though. Minecraft torture...
