The Roman Empire had a very different viewpoint in sexuality where they focused on social status rather than gender (until Christianity came along). It may not be the very beginning but its still a rather old part in our history.

Animals have been documented as being homosexual as well.

And the population decline is nothing regarding homosexuals. The birthrate is already declining for different reasons. Look at Japan right now with their really low birthrate.

 

You are making an extreme over generalization. I'm religious, I have not killed anyone, and I am extremely liberal at that. I am totally for LGBT+, and I hate it when people classify me with Conservative Catholics. I won't get into my religious justifications, but when people say that all Christians are anti-LGBT+, I get quite annoyed.

Again, you categorize all religious people with the <1% extremist terrorist group. Also, you fail to even consider how many homeless shelters, homes, and lives have been saved by religious people. Just a few years ago my older brother and his youth group traveled to Nicaragua and supplied an entire village with fresh water through a new set of pipes which were stolen. They also assisted with that season's coffee planting, and cleared fields of underbrush. You seem to think all religion is bad, and I cannot understand why.

 

I personally don't give a **** about Gay Marriage. I am not against it, I just don't care if two people of the same sex get married. Why does it have to be this big debate, why cant it just be a thing...

 

Ironically, although notorious BIG's statement was a bit too specific and hostile, his statement wasn't exactly false. Disputes over who's favourite deity was the one true deitytm caused a whole lot of deaths and destruction (which is pretty much the majority of the bible's stories anyways).

Even now, it's mainly the religious, specifically Christians, who are stirring up **** with the whole gay marrage issue about it being 'immoral' (somehow) and 'sinful' (as if sin existed). It's a whole lot of hatred in the name of 'love', and it's actually kind of twisted.

So yeah, although his statement was a bit forward, it's still a true statement. Even worse is that those Christians who are FOR gay marriage are actually breaking the rules set by their god for humanity. If you're going to dismiss the rules of the bible, why not just dismiss the whole thing and love for the sake of love, and not for some ultimate cosmic reward?

Unfortunately it is true that the homophobic position of the church lead to prosecution, suicides and executions in the past.
