Now juSt today I went to turn on my computer. It was working for about five minutes then the screen got all glitchy and then went black. I turned it off by taking the battery out and putting it back in. Now when ever I try to turn it back on it will start up but the screen will remain black for about 10 or 15 seconds then turn off for about five second then repeat the process. I really can't have my computer broken because I have a important homeschool proxies t saved on my computer... So if you can give any helpful advice that would be great.

Try checking your power supply, gpu/cpu and motherboard. Try reconnecting your power supply and make sure to push in your parts to make sure that everything is in place and not loose. Try it to see if it works. If it doesn't, were moving to phase two lol, which isn't good. Most of phases you need luck. If trying to make sure all parts are in properly, this probably leads to your graphics card. Have you been dusting it? Make sure your computer is always clean and dust free. Check for wiring to make sure that everything is plugged in. If that doesn't work, phase 3 lol. There's possible chance you burned your contact points on the graphics card. Try putting it in the oven for a few and bake it, to harden your points. (Don't do this yet, ask a professional first before trying this method. I am not %100 sure this is the problem and the proper method.) After trying this, it should work. If not, then you should start checking about your motherboard. It's a possible chance you over heated it. At that point, you might want to start to consider to replace your parts. It cannot be your power supply and hard drive not working because you can still turn it on. It's possibly the graphics card or motherboard, etc.

Well it looks ok now but I am still worried about. I might take it to Worst Buy to see what the Noob Squad thinks of it.

Sounds like it's either your screen or graphics card. You could try some more specific places for advice such as reddit.com/r/techsupport. But if you really cant figure out what needs to be fixed or whatever you can at least take out your hard drive to save whatever you need.

Just take it to your local computershop. I'm sure they'll be able to retrieve the data from your Hard drive, and SSD if you have one. Top tip: save your really really really important files multiple places. That way, you have backup if your PC screws you over. Just use a USB flash drive or an online storage service like DropBox.
