I constantly find myself looking for a "thank you" type rating and I don't feel as if any of the other ratings replicate that.

I may perhaps be bias because an old Xenoforum like this one I used to operate had this rating, however I feel like it would be a nice touch to us forum dwellers

This is nothing urgent, just a little something a forum-dweller like me would be interested in seeing introduced.

    Cheers,
    - Ryth

Watched that movie yesterday. It was awesome.

There is something called a like button, you know. It can be used to show that you are thankful? There is no point in having this, since both the like, useful AND informative rating can do its job to show that you are thankful.

You could use the friendly rating, as "Thank you" is a sign of compassion. Other than that there are many replacements depending on the situation/topic of the thread.

You could use friendly as thank you if they said something nice to you, informative if they helped you with something or funny/creative if they said something that gave you a good laugh and you want to thank them for that.

There are alternatives. Most of the time, just putting 'like' will work, but if someone supports you in a discussion you could put 'agree', if someone was funny you could put 'funny' to thank them, and if someone helps you you can put 'friendly' or 'informative'. If you want to thank someone for a guide you used, you can put 'useful', and if someone just puts a smile on your face you can put 'optimistic'.

This being said, I wouldn't mind seeing it added. I doubt it'd take too long to implement, anyways.

Oh, I'm quite well aware of the current rating system we have - it's just theres nothing thats blatantly a "thank you", but I understand your points on the friendly ratings.

I have a feeling it's not too hard to add either, but perhaps we don't need it.

If you don't feel for using any of the ratings we already have, then you could just reply to them actually saying "Thank you!". It's not that hard.

I am well aware you can just do that yet I would like a thank you rating, since I am someone that uses ratings a lot and enjoy giving people positive feedback, and thanking them with a simple click of a button. But yes, if it's too much work there's no reason to add it, it's just something (I may be the only one) I would enjoy.

I would have used to thank you rating to thank you for that! :stuck_out_tongue:
But yeah, I think it would be a nice touch to add :>

This was a very original idea. I was just reading a post on adding a dislike button and I don't think that is a good idea. It created a negative environment.

This idea really helps to create the positive culture that we need.

Don't need a rating for something that is so specific especially when it is already covered by another rating.
