Disagree rating.

Not really. I already told you in my previous posts how explaining a like isn't warranted. This goes for all the other ratings except for agree and disagree. Posting an explanation of why you agree is only warranted if you agree with part of the post or have things to add on to what the person said, in which case an elaboration would be necessary. If you agree with the whole post and have nothing else to say, posting the same thing as the post you agree with isn't necessary.

Post don't always contribute to discussions, but they do most of the time. If a post is spam or flame, they can be punished for it. I haven't seen people saying something like that in a long time. Since these types of people are so uncommon, it's not an issue in my opinion. It's best that we don't have the rating in this manner because the people who contribute far outweigh those who don't.

And you would be punished accordingly. As I said before, most people here know how to disagree with someone with some degree of tact. It's not as though re-implementing disagree ratings would further contribute to the peace. Let's be honest, people get really worked up about ratings. Disagree ratings would simply be trouble. Their cons far outweigh their pros, and yes, they would lessen the overall amount of peace we enjoy here.

We don't know if they will flame as they did before because there are no ratings like disagree. Maybe the reason they flamed was because of the ratings. Maybe not.

 

I believe that people would flame more with these disagree ratings regardless of the fact that people still flame without them.

 

We can only hope. :I In my opinion, their cons still outweigh their pros though.

 

They would show up as soon as it was re-implemented. There are flaws with the idea of a disagree rating in itself as I addressed in my previous posts.

 

Just reply saying "Wow I disagree you worthless piece of trash who like you?"

 

I never found a problem with them, if you get mad over a silly little rating from someone who doesn't feel the same way you do, then guess what, you're not going anywhere in the world. Heck, disagree with my opinion here, I don't care.

 

:V I prefer to think of it as an invigorating discussion seeing as there was no real flame involved. :V

Perhaps if everyone was as old/mature as us. That being said, it needs to be taken into account that this is a forum for a Minecraft server. It's safe to assume that our community isn't going to be that old. :V

 

Eh, perhaps you are right. Back when negative ratings were around, the forums were exploding. There were about ten first post mod apps being made daily, and a lot of young members were joining. We have grown up a bit since then. That being said, I still feel that disagrees shouldn't return for the reasons I stated previously.

 

Yeah, i think ratings with like pointless, disagree, dislike, late, everything else like that, yes, agreed.
