    Unfortunate news: the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, has recently passed away due to health complications.

    Gamers and people alike are devastated by this tragic event.

    I hate how the blog that I first read on it just said "Satoru Iwata is dead" like so insensitive.

    I'm not going to pretend like I knew the guy well (had to google his works) but it's a shame he has passed away, he, while not directly programmed, was the executive producer for many recent games (last 15 years or so) which I've played like Paper Mario: Sticker Land, Mario Kart 7, The remake of Ocarina of Time, Heart Gold and Soul Silver (fav pokemon games), Super Smash Bros. Brawl which I'm sure most if not everyone here has played it, Pokemon Platinum, Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario which I consider to be one of the two greatest games of all time, Super Mario Galaxy which was hella fun, Wii Sports, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Mario Kart DS, Pokemon Emerald, Mario Kart Double Dash, Super Smash Bros.     He died on my dads birthday, and my dad was a HUGE fan on Nintendo back in the day. My dad was very upset, and I was too.

    RIP Mr. Iwata. May your soul live on.

    Rip Satoru Iwata. The CEO of the true best gaming company in the world. I have only used nintendo consoles because they are so good, and if it wasn't for him the gaming industry would be nowhere near as good as it is today. May his spirit and his legacy live on.
