Use your touchpad if you have a laptop, or get the cheapest wireless mouse you can get if you have a desktop.

I have the Logitech G502, but I have not used the SteelSeries. I would go for the G502 still. The additional buttons, optional weight, the grip, and Logitech's drivers are worth it.

Definitely the SteelSeries thing, the other one has a poorly working gimmick.

I had the RAT MMO 7 and it was pretty horrid. Pretty uncomfortable to hold and the driver was absolutely terrible.

Depends on your grip. I use a claw grip, so, my hands are only touching the edges of the mouse. Therefore a full-contact grip like the one on the Logitech wouldn't be necessary for me. Also, two extra mouse buttons is enough for me. So I'd go for the Steelseries. Also, make sure you are right-handed, because these mice are clearly not designed for left hands.

My Razer Naga is really beastly. But after some time the drivers don't seem to be detected. But it has 8000 DPI and 12 buttons which is very useful.

    It is $60.

Why would you ever do that willingly to yourself??? It just straight up isn't possible to play anything else than strategy or card games with a trackpad. Getting a cheap junk mouse is also a no no because they are unprecise, have bad ergonomics and are terrible to use in general. Yes, you might use an old mouse you have lying around if your gaming mouse breaks and you want to play whilst waiting for a new mouse, but other than that, no!

@RezIsStupid Yeah, about this. I use a trackpad to play CTF, have done since the start. It was pretty difficult to start with but I'm used to it now so it doesn't get in my way too much. It does make PVPing with a sword hard whatever the situation, but again since I'm used to it it's not too bad. I don't think many people would say that I do badly on CTF

Yeah, but why not just spend the 30$ on a decent mouse when you have the chance, like OP has.

And as you said, PvPing is really hard with a trackpad, and PvPing is a huge part of Minecraft.

It's never bothered me enough to want to change that. I play archer but I do ok with the other classes too, so I see no real reason to get one

I really dont care about Gaming mice, I use regular Mice, and I use a Palm grip, and I still manage to get high CPS (clicks per sec) after practicing, Im not sure what you want to achieve with such expesive mice... Minecraft only allows I believe 20 clicks per second, and even with such speeds, you wont hit 20 times per second

I find that more expensive mice are a million gazillion times more comfortable than regular 5$ office mice. Not an important aspect if you are only playing for half and hour to an hour, but it really makes a huge difference after two or three hours.

Implay for a really long time and it doesnt feel uncomfortable, I wouldnt go waste $40-$60 on a mice when I can have a cheap mice and play as good as gaming mice apparently do
