Remove Clans from War 2.0

    I know a lot of the older players are going to hate this but:

    We need to remove clans from War 2.0.

    There are some teams on the server that (when online) dominate each game. It's incredibly unfair when one team has the older, more experienced players, but the other team is filled with newer players who are nowhere as good as the older ones.

    There's no reason for someone to not support this unless you're into getting easy games where you want to spawntrap the weaker team.

    Servers need to make teams that are fairly matched. eg. Trying to put the same amount of level 100 or 60 players on each team, rather than on one team.

    Sorry, but I'm going to shoot a -1 at this. Clans are a HUGE part of War, and I'd personally HATE to see them gone, and I know others would agree. Personally, I like going against other good players. It gives me a challenge. In addition, if they were getting "dominated", there are more than 1 war server.

    This brings up some good points, but also some bad ones. Personally, I don't know if I want this or not.

    You already mentioned the pros, such as no more insane battles of about 5 +100 players dominating the other team, and the cons IMO aren't that big. The only real con is that you can no longer be in a team with a friend, which is both good, because it allows people to both sometimes fight or work with eachother, and bad because some just want to play with their friends all the time.

    TL;DR: It is a very debatable idea. I am not sure whether to agree or disagree.

    Clans bring back memories, but what's become of them is just ridiculous. +1

    Let's be honest here. The only reason you're supporting clans right now is because you are in a good clan and you also tend to be on the stronger team, more than not.

    Unfortunately, while I think you're a cool person, you're a person who completely takes advantage of this clan system.

    Whenever you are online, I notice that you are on the stronger team always mainly because DUSK is a big clan with many good players. There have been countless games I have played with you where your team completely beat the other team.

    This is something you can't argue: If the server tried to make evenly matched teams by putting the same number of level 100 or 60 players on each, the game would become much more fair.

    Your argument really doesn't have much substance other than personal anecdote.

    People always tend to go for the server that has the most people in it. It's not fun to play on a server with less than 20 people on.

    To be honest, I'd be perfectly fine playing without good people in my clan. Also, as you stated "People always tend to go for the server that has the most people on it." I find quite incorrect. Speaking just as myself, I don't hop onto the servers with the most people. Yes, I'd prefer a server with at least 30+ people, but I ALWAYS stay away from the most populated server. If there's a server with 20+ people, I usually go on that. I know quite a few others that are the same.

    Clans should be competitive play and competitive play only, removing it from general game gets a +1 from me

    I can definitely see where this argument comes from, but yeah, I'm pretty split with this decision. While it can be pretty frustrating to play against an 'elite' clan (trust me, I know), I feel that that there has to be some other way of balancing or addressing this problem other than removing clans entirely. When I first started war, clans were something I looked up to, an incentive of sorts that kept me playing. I'm sure that this is also the case for many new players to this day; for some, there's just something about joining something bigger than yourself. Just because you may not feel a sense of unity and ambition that others may find in joining a clan, doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same way. And, speaking as a former owner of a large and popular clan (for the most part, it's probably been forgotten by now), there are few things more satisfying than seeing a clan that you created grow and prosper.
    Also, there's the little thing of having an awesome clan tag. .u.

    So basically to sum it up (TL;DR)
    -I feel your frustration, but there has to be another way of going about this instead of removing clans entirely
    -Clans are a long standing part of war; for the most part offering more of an incentive to play -- for new players, clan members, and clan owners

    Okay I have something else that would help solve this, maybe just like in CoD, you have clan TAGS, not actual clans but Clan Tags. Well now that I think about this... that could cause problems for if people were legit... but there can be clans but they're not always on the same team. The only thing is that they have the same clan tag, if you find this disappointing that you can't team up with your Clan friends, well guess what, there could easily be a /party command. You can simply get all the concepts by going on the CoD Wiki or something. Maybe like a player max of 5. I hope you understood that, because I don't feel like writing too much today :/ .

    I'm in MOAC, which Lekosa1's clan. It's filled with tons of strong players.

    Please don't try to make clans look like they're some magical, holy grail.

    I looked up to clans as well when I started. But like what Striker_Sly said, clans have turned really ugly. Many of the good players have decided to join the same clan, and the server puts them all on one team.

    There's really no other option to make gameplay more fair. Server puts clan members all on one team. Don't play with hypotheticals.

    Well, as I stated before, you can keep Clan Tags and all of that, I understand how people have been in their clans for such a long time and would hate for all the memories to be lost, just keep clans, but majorly change the mechanics so it's not Overpowering lower ranks players or loners.

    I'm fine with just clan tags, but what you suggested is good for WarZ only.

    Having five level 100 players on one team is more than enough to tip the balance in favor for them.

    The only "fun" that people have playing with their friends is from completely dominating the other team.

    Play with your friend on the losing team, and suddenly the game isn't so fun anymore for these people who wants clans.

    The staff could organize MC-War competitive plays just like CTF if they're so power hungry to dominate other clans... and I really doubt they would be the only high level players in the server, well my suggestion would be like a balanced team option, this would be pretty hard to code but I think it would be nice to add, so that this would ensure that both teams are equal.

    I feel like you have a point here.
    They should no be removed fully, though.
    I feel like there should be a limit to how many people can be in a clan, like 25-50.
    Then clans could join up in matches as friends and not overwhelming the other team with the shear amount of crossbow and skullcrusher.

    From what has been said, the new CoD server is coming to be completely different, probably with somewhere around 12 people in a game.
    Now, this could mean that a whole team could be a clan, but would it really be worth it to do that?
    From what Brittan has said, it's blatant that it will actually take a degree of skill to be a good player in the new server, and there may only be a few really good players on the server and the rest won't be nearly as good.
    I wouldn't want 5 other people who are just dragging my team and performance down.

    I agree, not because of spawntrapping reasons, but because they are pretty much pointless, and bring a lot of unnecessary bugs into the game.

    The problem with war 2.0 is that if indeed it turns up as like 12 v 12 games. Then it will be just clan wars of people in the various clans. Clans were awesome, but I think they need to go as well.

    I have another version of this: On all of the War servers but one, being in a clan won't put you in the same team. On that one server, playing would require being in a clan, and it will put clan mates in the same team, so it will basically be a clan wars server.

    Personally I think clans as sharing friendship. SO they shouldn't delete clans but make them not affect what team you are on
