Hacker and Cheater

    So people who use cheats call them "hackers". Although are they really hackers? How are they hackers when they use downloaded cheats to beat a player.

    Now what we should be calling people is a cheater. A hacker would be breaking into our system of some sort, and then start doing stuff. Cheaters just gain an advantage by doing something unfair

    So why do we call people "hacker" instead of "cheater"? We should call them a cheater. So from now one we should call people cheaters. When did we start calling people hackers?

    The website for hacked clients wouldn't have "hacks" in it

    They use hacked or cracked versions of the game. They hack mine craft itself, not brawl. They change the java code, like if the time to pull back an arrow to max draw is 0.75 seconds, the code would be
    double maxBowDraw = 0.75
    But if they change it to something like
    double maxBowDraw = 0.01
    Then they can fire allot faster then usual.

    But in other words they are cheating. They are getting an unfair advantage

    That's true, but because they are doing it by altering code, it's called hacking. If you use client side mods, that's cheating.

    So they are both a hacker and a cheater then?

    plus you alter a code to gain an advantage, so they are still a cheater.

    Exactly.
    You can call them coders, although the only thing they code are the little extra things like auras, etc, which most people would call, a module.

    So, changing = synonym for modifying, therefore, they are simply modifying the game in a malicious manner.
    Downloading the JDK, Eclipse, JD-Gui, etc, isn't hacking, that's this magical thing called file transfer.
