You'll be under-asleep when they do it (I think). I had 8 pulled out under a month ago.
After the surgery, make sure you do what they tell you. You'll be fine c:

The surgery didn't but the aftermath did :stuck_out_tongue:
Bleeding will stop after a few hours, or even less if you use proper treatment, swelling for a few weeks, unable to chew most things. So yeah, it did hurt a bit afterwards.

I've had a number of fillings and 2 teeth pulled, it's really not that bad, just be sure that:

    A. You get nitrous oxide, AKA laughing gas, it does cost extra, however for 5 teeth I really view it as a necessity, it'll make you completely numb to everything except a few tiny tugs if you let it, just focus on the ceiling or your breathing or the T.V if they have it, and it will feel like 15 minutes of pure mind numbed bliss.

    B. If you can't afford the nitrous, most dental offices will use novocaine, which is a numbing agent, it's a little "spicy", best way I can describe it, but it helps a lot. Just be sure that they use the correct amount for your body weight, being larger than most people my age, they used too little, and it hurt a lot more than if they had used the correct amount.

Other than that, just don't fear it, go in, wait, sit in the chair, let them do their thing, and you'll be good, just be sure to have some pain killers at home because post surgery will hurt, but that's when you turn up the music, and focus on something else.

Like the others said, it doesn't hurt its just annoying when you feel numb because I feel like I can't even breathe.

I know a guy who got his teeth removed...he says it sucks because 1. once the numbness goes away it hurts like hell, like, REALLY BAD 2. because it hurts, you cant eat any solid food for a while

I'm just glad I never had to get any teeth pulled out, braces are bad enough

I've had 2 teeth pulled before, it's really not too bad. Like Pikmin said they use laughing gas so you can't feel a thing which makes the actual removal not too bad. After you feel a bit dizzy, and when the laughing gas wears off it hurts quite a bit. I took some pain meds and had an ice pack held up to my face. Make sure you have plenty of soft foods to last you a day or so like pudding or bread. Hope this helped good luck!

Almost all of my teeth were pulled out and I wasn't sleeping when my dnetist did it. And you should be scared if you have to do his awake, too. Especially from the noises... :V

Update: Didn't really read the newer posts. ._.
