A guide to catching the "Hacker".

As we all know having any interaction with a hacker can become a very frustrating thing. As much as you think making accusations could help the situation it only increases the tension between you and the other player. A so called hacker is never going to admit to using any client to his/her advantage. Here are some tips to help staff members give you the justice you deserve.

1. Play it cool. If you believe a player is doing something he shouldn't be able to do prepare yourself for the worst there is a likely chance he/she is going to frustrate you.

2. Always know your Minecraft set hot keys. In a situation where a player is using any visible hacks always remember too screenshot for quality evidence (F2 Default screenshot hot key).

3. Video evidence could just be the most effective evidence. If you do not have a recording device on your computer i will link you to multiple free and safe recording devices at the end of this thread.

4. Once you have significant evidence of a player using a hack your ready too upload it or post it on the forums. In this situation your forums are located at Multiplayerservers.com under the forums tab. Now begin feeling out your ban request. Under general select report a hacker and feel out all of the information requested.

Yes i agree completely i am currently using fraps getting 60+ fps but sadly it is not completely free.

I would have to agree with Tac42 Obs is a very good recording software and yes it is quite pricey.

 

Although OBS is better I agree but i wouldn't necessarily say Fraps sucks it gets great fps. Also OBS is a bit advanced for beginner recorders.

 

I see where your coming from but it is simple and easy to use and that is why i recommended it.
