The Problem with Shout.

i agree shout has been out of wake as a matter infact someone who i have been fighting with shared personal info about me.

 

I don't find anything wrong with shout. Though I realize this can be an issue, I don't really know what to say but "contact staff if you believe there is an issue"

Now that's a problem. Just do /report [name] [reason] and staff will get right to it.

 

If there's issues with players, just use this short command and the staff online will be alerted! There's a reason we added it so use it.

If you have a problem with a/some player(s), just ignore/block them. Simple and you won't deal with them until you unignore/unblock them.

 

/report doesn't work in creative

The problem is, CM's accept rank apps too easily. We need someone like @Potatoto who judges harshly and knows the applicant's maturity well. Many ranked people now are immature and they abuse their rank

 

That's exaggeration, you have to consider what staff have to deal with. Brawl usually has about 1000+ players on constantly, each staff member probably gets 10 reports every 5- minutes. Also, if a War Jmod gets this report from creative, only because he's a war tmod, s/he has no idea how to handle the situation

This is a true problem, I've been tormented and bullied on creative for awhile until I just decided to ignore them.

 

Shout is a good idea... If placed in the right hands.

Maturity needs to be taken into consideration when accepting apps. I agree with your points.

 

Report these players to a Creative Manager with valid proof of their action and we will deal with them.
Shouting with caps, share personal information through shout, goes under Abusing Shout which often results in a demotion.

 

I try to stop those shout abusers and most of the time, they listen to me. Because I'm quite active, it's easy for me to catch who is abusing their rank. There are several players who deserve demotion.

If there's an argument on shout that is out of control, feel free to PM me on the forums or for a faster notification, message me on Skype. I will try my best to get there fast to stop flames. I know I'm no mod or anything, but I know I can do something about it.

I have been playing Skyrim lately, and I directly thought of this :v

 

So I read over this thread and shout is actually one of the best things creative has at the moment. But, Half the people who have shout are reckless and immature. I won't name any names but, anyone who plays creative kind of has a vast idea of who they are. If you can try too message them on Ts3 or try too at most PM them on here they probably won't check it as soon as you send it but I know for a fact they do check it. Staff on creative probably doesn't get this as enough as they should but they are always on top of things on the forums and everything like they got this. But, online activity isn't so good for them. They are never first hand witnesses they are always second hand witnesses. And that means that we saw it and screenshotted it and gave it too them but they weren't there too see it actually happen. So all in all what happened was that the CM's didn't think about maturity of a person on the applications and basically accepted them with out thinking maybe we should see them in-game.

I hope this solved the problem for you all and when you all are saying that @Potatoto should be a Creative Manager take a look at this thread then post something on it or vote in the poll.

Shout could be quite reckless sometimes but mods could not be online 24/7 so just report them on the website

 

Most likely, a mod will be on. There are mods from all over the place so while some mods are asleep, others are active in-game and on forums (and vice-versa). Report anyone with decent proof on forums (under Support section) or in-game. This is a repeat of what others have said. I'm just clarifying for anyone having trouble with this topic.

 

I have not seen a problem with accepting or denying usually when I look at their application. But when I go in game I see them abusing it, it usually is Adv builders but I have seen some We1+ abusing their ranks. All in the use of shout.

 

Shout isn't a problem unless you let it be.
