MCPVP hardcore games was the gamemode that a lot of people enjoyed for a very long time. Recently about 6 months ago MCPVP decided to take soup out of the hardcore games and do some other updates that were very undesirable. Although this was an act of attempting to get new players to play, it failed. The Hardcore Games was very successful for quite some time, It began to fall when MCPVP started releasing "stupid" kits. Kits such as Gladiator caused the whole concept of teaming to vanish, as this kit had the ability to FORCE 1v1's and break teams up. We all have experienced the pain of having to deal with a team, but teaming is one of the big reasons The Hardcore Games was such a big success, It gave the option to play with friends and increase your chance of winning. All the new kits that were added to the hardcore games in probably the last year of MCPVP were terrible, they completely ruined The Hardcore Games and caused a lot of the big names to disappear. After it started to die, MCPVP still did not recognize why and continued to release these kits. After they realized it was dying rapidly they decided to take soup out and attempt to make the Hardcore Games more "noob" friendly for the lack of a better word. For The Hardcore Games to be good again, it needs to take away the kits that ruined the gamemode and keep it original back the way it used to be. Although not many people knew what "souping" was, the network was MCPVP for a reason, it was meant to be unique and only to fit the quality and interests of a small variety of players. So it did. Restoring The Hardcore Games back to what it used to be would make it really fun again, and I'm sure a lot of the old players would return, as I would. If it is kept in its same "broken" state, or even remade without soup incorporated, it won't be the same. Although you might call what Hardcore Games was a month ago "The Hardcore Games" it did not deserve to be called that after what the developers have done to it. So my word of advice is to keep it original and take out those kits that ruined all the fun for the players, and for the love of god... keep soup..

MCPVP did release kits that did not make much sense. For the soup/ no soup, there should be option of which one you can play. One with soup or one without depending on the players skill at one and the other.

I think no soup servers were great as I tried to soup for 2 years but I could not do it :frowning:

Also you do know there was always the option to play on a no soup server or you could play on a soup sever?

I think they need to remove the useless kits and only add new ones if people like them, they're fun, and not bad compared to other kits. Also, no-soup is just a terrible idea - HG isn't HG without soup, and if HG with soup is not noob-friendly then HG itself isn't.

No soup brought in more new players, coz all the veterans on MCPVP would kill the new players who couldn't soup, so I think no soup should be kept

We got plenty of new players with just soup HG back in 2011-2012. We don't need no soup servers, we just need to separate noobs into a server full of other noobs instead of other veterans.

In 2011-2012, could people hotkey/refill? Everyone sucked back then, but now, lots of people are really good. I started to soup around 2013, and at that time, people could already hotkey and very few could quickdrop. It was a MASSIVE challenge just to win a game, how would it be for new players now?

My point is, new players will die immediately in soup HG, that's why there's no soup HG, where they actually stand a chance of winning
