Did you really spend that much time in your life looking up definitions to find a 1 word loophole on a forum for an online video game?

    Jesus Christ man, get outside.

I like how people are dismissing him as a retard for daring to question the vagueness of the toddlerblocks.

    Great guys. Great.

No he is just being annoying, it only takes a half-wit to do this. If he wanted to do this he could half done it in a more professional way and not only gotten staff to agree but some members as well. So no, we are not dissing him for anything else other than being annoying.

Gee man, I didn't know it would be so pressuring to stay on topic! Why not rebel against the staff and their corrupted rules! Seriously diamond. Even I myself have Roke busting my butt every once in a while but I could care less about it.

He's really not. He's not insulting the mods, he's not insulting you, he's not forcing you to read this thread either.

It's you guys who are coming to this thread and insulting him, while (ironically), breaking the 'stay on topic' and 'general friendliness' rules by diverting his post into insults.

He's bringing up a legitimate debate topic and you dumbsh*ts are dismissing it because it's 'annoying'. The funny thing is, between his and @Striker_Sly's actual conversation with, ya'know, facts and information, and your thinly veiled/ blatant insults, I've got to say that you guys are being much more annoying than he is. By a longshot.

It's hypocritical AND ironic, and its' hilarity is overlooked because of it. So yeah, congratulations on calling someone who's successfully questioned the current status quo a retard.

    -------

    @Striker_Sly.
I remember you. You were that guy who was fun to debate on this same topic, except you weren't mod then. Congratulations on reaching moderator, man, I'unno you well enough to know if you deserve it but clearly everyone else thought you did, so that's good enough for me.

You know, back on-topic, I currently am leaning towards the OP's argument from definitions than I am yours, which from what I've seen boils down to 'I can because I'm a mod'. And, although it is accepted that moderators do have, well, moderating power, he's still correct that the rules are vague enough that too much is left up to moderator discretion, and in the defenitions he has given which are correct to the best of my knowlegde, he is currently exploiting a loophole.

He is also correct in asking for an accesible version of the acting moderator's permissions, because otherwise it is legitimately questionable as to whether or not a mod was acting in their power. I can understand that it's usually enough to know that they're a mod and we're not, but I've seen a few mods back on the mcpvp days pull some questionable stuff.

Oh, and on top of all this, I love how you're dismissing his argument (seemingly) without thinking too hard about it. I mean, honestly, if I were a mod I'd be trying to figure out exactly how wide this loophole is instead of denying it exists entirely. This isn't an attack against you, (I'd hate to have people think I resort to ad-homs exactly as much I'd hate to accidentally ad-hom people), it's an observation. Think of this as an opportunity to tighten your rules instead of just dismissing him as 'annoying'.

And that last part goes for everyone. Not everyone who questions the mods is a retard.

You are not only joining him in this pointless topic but insulting everyone while at it. There is NO point in this thread, that is what we are saying. If he wanted to prove a point there are so many other BETTER ways of doing it. Also people comment and read this thread because it's our job as a community to give each other responses. You really should calm down. Also the staff positions are entrusted not only enforce the rules but to make their own judgement... Hinting at the question in the staff application asking what would they do in a economy breaking glitch. If they thread owner would have looked and thought about the simplest of things, he would have understood that. Back to point if you reread the thread all he is stating is he doesn't care about the rules so he is going to find loopholes. If are to also see how often he has replied shows he really doesn't care either, he just wanted to see people argue.

I am well aware I am joining him, and I will remain on his side of the argument unless sufficient evidence is promoted to refute his argument. That is how debate and arguments work, and always should work.

Then what you are saying is wrong. There is always reason to question authority, especially when it's implied that authority is unquestionable. It just so happens that his reasoning for questioning authority is also questioning a vague rule using actual definitions. His argument, as it stands now, does in fact seem to exploit a legitimate loophole.

I'm sure there are, but just because something can be done better does not mean it's automatically bad. Besides, that
reasoning for dismissing his post could be applied to the way you dismissed him as a rebel. You could have gone about that better, but you still got your opinion across nonetheless.

If it's your job to respond to posts then why are there numerous posts that have none? Even if it was your 'job', it would not be your job to dismiss people by telling them they're being rebellious, they're retarded, or they need to get a life.
I'm actually quite calm, no matter what inflection you read into my writing. It's hard to express true emotion through written medium on an internet forum.

I mentioned that I can appreciate the authority a mod has at most given times, especially when the person that requires moderation is very blatantly in the wrong. However, as the OP pointed out, even if it is within the mod's judgement, it's not a well-enough defined rule as of yet to justify any moderator action taken out against his thread, unless they can point to something other than just saying 'moderator perms and judgement'.
Besides, moderator judgement can be wrong. Human error is a thing.

It probably took more thought for him to find the wording within the rules that allowed him to exploit a loophole than you did dismissing him as rebellious and pointless.
If you only think about the simple things you will never, ever get a true understanding of pretty much anything. That's a terrible, terrible, awful way to dismiss somebody.

Actually, if you re-read the thread instead of saying you re-read the thread, you'll find this:
And you'll never find him being anything other than politely questioning. Cite your damn sources before you make a claim like that.

He is just trying to do a challenge and he wants people to find a loophole in it. No wonder this community is so crap, people always find ways to get angry over the smallest things. If you think it's annoying then why are you taking you time to read all the posts.

It's a forums thread, a place for people to talk, not spend hours yelling at each other over a loophole in the rules.
