    I can 100% tell you that teams will be implemented, I won't show you how I figured this out, but @TheSinisterOne and I found out, teams are going to be implemented, I'm guessing no time soon but after all the other updates.

    BONUS: Type /spectate <gamemode> , such as '/spectate 1v1' and you can see the 1v1s. Another command I found out xD.

    Teams in KitBrawl, I don't know exact details but there are commands to invite people to your team disband your team and such.

    That could be a party type thing, just so you could all join events together or something of that sort.
