do xp farms work??

    I need xp really quick, so I was wondering if xp farms work on this server because I saw some tutorials and it said that it works bad on multiplayer servers...

    Mobs from spawners aren't moving, so a lot of xp farms won't work right now.
    I've tried twice :/.

    I have had farms on other servers, so being on multiplayer in general usually isn't a problem.

    I'm not talking about the spawner one, I'm talking about The one you tower up to and mobs fall from this dark spawning area...

    I think so, Elite has many. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

    Xp farms do work. But, if you used the 'glitch' or the 1.8 feature, and you changed the mob that your spawner would be producing,(Which is sadly, now patched) you may have problems. (Don't quote me on this, this may be wrong, just what I've herd from friends) As in, if you have a mushroom cow spawner, it may not be as efficient. It'll still PROBABLY work… just the spawn rate may be slower due to the server trying to fight this mob that shouldn't be spawning. v:
    uhhh, other than that, you should be fine… (xp farms with spiders, skeletons, zombies, etc.) or mobs that would naturally spawn with spawners…

    That is, if you're lucky enough to find one... (They're so hard to find! It takes me an hour just to find 1 alone! Not even a double spawner… Oh don't even get me started on that…)

    You can be punished for using that spawner glitch right? Making any mob you want spawn...

    I don't think you can get PUNISHED but a mod or someone may come and break your spawners.... I know @Lord_Roke has done that to one of mine >:L

    The one I had was a zombie pigmen spawner. huehue, it was broken by Roke xD

    Im halfway done building, ill finish the rest tmwo.

    Just hope nobody griefs, and ill make it a team warp.

    I made it a bit low...
    y=170 so i can make at least 5 layers

    if that doesnt lag me out though

    Even though mobs don't do anything, you can still let them be moved around with water but you sadly can't move travel them up anymore they can only go down. It's kinda annoying to get used to but it works fine.
