I got hit by a car

    Yep, you heard that right. I was going to summer school on my skateboard (like I have been doing for the past 2 months). I about to cross an intersection when a car pulled up at the corner. I assumed he saw me and was going to yield, but I was wrong lol. Literally the moment I entered, he made the turn, I got hit. Luckily, he was going pretty slow, but the impact was still pretty strong. We were both at fault, him for not yielding to a pedestrian, and I for not stopping, making eye contact, and proceeding on foot. We were both cool with it, since it was a minor accident, and decided to make amends.

    Fortunately, my injuries aren't too serious, just road rash on my knee and elbow, and bruises. At least I got to skip summer school today :grinning:

    LESSON LEARNED: Try to walk across intersections, and never assume people look your direction/will yield to you.

    Managed to snap a quick photo at the scene. There were like two police cars, an ambulance, all that serious stuff. Medic dudes patched me up.

    I got hit by a car once too, NOTHING HAPPENED. (I got a free juice though)

    I thought that that ambulance had @Mrcowlick on the side, instead of McCORMICK.

    Anyway, It must be really ****ty to get hit by a car. But atleast you didn't get a major injury.

    I got hit by a car on my road bike once. I landed on the hood and I walked away with no scratches...probably had something to do with my latent mutant ability. Ha!

    6 days ago, my cousin (25) was riding his motorcycle with his friends and fell off his bike in a curve and got hit by an accommodating car and.. he died
    you are lucky you got away with minor injuries, stay safe on the roads..

    I've gotten tapped maybe a dozen times walking into my school. People drive like idiots and are barely able to stop. Worst I've ever gotten were big bruises on my thigh and arm.

    Glad to know you're okay though.
