I bought the game, played through the tutorial and went through a few bot matches.

Is there anything I need to know or certain special things that will help me?
I do know that you run faster with a knife, and you are more accurate while crouching, so take that into account.

Do not play compet or else you will encounter smurfs. Just play casual / deathmatch and waste your lifesavings on case openings.

    1. Learn AK/M4 first, then AWP, please don't be an smg noob
    2. Download aim practice maps and play lots of deathmatch
    3. Don't use crouch. Trust me. Learn to strafe-shoot first.
    4. Learn to headshot, fastest way to kill people

You are less accurate whilst moving, learn the map calls if you want to get into competetive, and learn the recoil patterns.

i think before you play comp you should analyze the maps, know the smokes, know where to prefire/crosshair placement, and the basics of the game. If you do this, you most likely will have a higher starting rank.

Tip 1: What you need to do is run and spray with the ak works everytime, 100% accurate
Tip 2: You want to flash your friends when you take a site so you can't see, if you can't see the enemy can't see.
Tip 3: Oh and the most obvious tip ever, you want to do as much damage to your team mates as possible, it really helps you win rounds. If your team mates die the enemy dies.

Get your correct sensitivity and settings. And just practice spray patterns with all the guns.

Competitive is the only fun way to play IMO.

Think of the game like it is hide and seek not call of duty :stuck_out_tongue:.

    Tip:
    1. Find your gun, choose what you are best with, then start practicing with it and learn the techniques of the gun whether it is a sniper or smg or an m4 or ak
    2. Play various maps, but find the one you like best (personally I like Dust 2 the best), but just find your map.
    3. Study the map, maybe google up the layout of the map, what does it look like.
    4. Go on twitch.tv, watch some cs:go mathces of like pros or whoever you want.
    5. Play about 20 legit hours on cs:go before going on comp, or play tdm a lot to improve your aim and your 4v1 ing practice. Also you should browse community servers which is headshot only for a kill, it will improve your tapping very well
    6. Once you do these in order than your basically set.
