Sooo recently I ripped my headphone cable so I solderd it back together and put this special tape around the soldering points to prevent them from touching eachother. This is working good so far but how can I fix the ripped black cable isolation? I tried to tape it but it doesn't really stick together so what could it do? (Any alternatives to taping it?)

Ik I'm not the best one at soldering. :V
(No I'm not going to get a new headset :V)

Use electircal tape or Duct tape. Which ever has the strongest adhesive.

Christ, how much did you use? That giant blob...

Anyways, you can't really "fix" the ORIGINAL black casing without fully stripping the wires, but what you could do is re-solder the wires so you don't have that giant blob, slip some heat shrink over it, and bam, it'll look a lot better.

Black electrical tape will work. If you use the wrong tape it could smoulder.

Try taping them. The tape is very inexpensive and you can get at home depot.
