    It means both sides have to look exactly the same as though standing in a mirror.

    While this is a real contest, I should mention that this contest is not to be taken seriously, the only rules are listed on the OP. The only rules I would add is no offensive content (a giant d**k or a big f*** word in the map).

    I understand the point of keeping the forum clean of trolls and stuff, but this was never intented to be serious since the begining and I felt like it should have been obvious. Troll submissions was pretty much what was to be expected in this contest.

    Allow me to explain what this map means:

    As you know, the internet has aged greatly. From being one of the newest creations, (and expensive!), to one of the things we depend on for life, the internet is truly a masterpiece. In this map, we capture everything in the internet-Memes, games, everything. In this map I depict indiviuallity for everyone, as I made it non symmetrical-Everyone has an independent prespective of the internet.

    Okay, so I decided to make a CTF map that was as pro-gameplay as I could possibly make, while taking into account my ten minute attention span for that specified project. Here it is:
    2015-08-28_21.15.49.png I am quite a fan of quick, fast paced gameplay, as it keeps you constantly active and having fun. Naturally, in those kinds of maps it must be easy to go from your spawn to your flag, thus promoting defense and making the games have even more action, as the game will last longer. To add some midfield obstacles, I created lava pits to spice things up a bit.
    2015-08-28_21.15.58.png These will provide a terrain hazard to make things more dangerous, and keep you on your toes. I chose lava as it is very intuitive and small, thus creating a great gameplay addition while still maintaining the easy-to-learn aspect CTF has always been trying to aim for.

    Now, we all hate instakills. The small map size allows archer headshots to be far less effective. But what about pyro and assassin? The open map makes assassin plainly visible from anywhere, and I added some water near the flag and on the midfield to make pyro less OP.

    On the topic of the flag, I have previously mentioned that I prefer the flag to be near the spawn point to promote the defensive aspect of gameplay. The open map promoted ghosting, so I added floating gravel and pressure plates so that any ghosting attempts will prove a failure, as standing too close to the flag will make the floor disappear. I feel that this helps prevent people from ghosting, as they cannot stand close enough to the flag without falling into the void.
    2015-08-28_21.16.07.png I kept the map completely symmetrical on the gameplay side, with the normal little aesthetic color changes between teams. If you are complaining about escaping the map, then I can say that I surrounded the playfield with barrier blocks so that players are kept in the intended area. All in all, I find this very balanced, as neither offense nor defense is quite overpowered enough to make one role too easy.
