Regarding the Release of 2.0

Honestly I've moved on to Planetside 2 and just check back with Brawl to see if 2.0 has come out (wishful thinking right?) make a few resourcepacks and use the current LAW and spas-24 for a few rounds because they're both good now. If you don't know anything about Planetside 2's development team it has, just say "significant issues" but it's sad to say I have more faith in them than in Brawl.

 

Everyone seems to be thinking War 2.0 is never going to come out. Instead of hating on the developers for taking so long, do you even realize how hard it is to even code the plugin? Guns in Minecraft without a modded client are extremely hard to make. Think about all the time it took for the original and current versions of MC-War to come out. So, like I said, just give them time. And Brittan has already got his hands full with all the other servers as well. Developers aren't robots. They're people who work at their own pace.

 

We all know that there were a lot of announcements regarding War 2.0 and even Brawl 2.0. But instead of always complaining about the late updates, false dates, latenesses etc. You should maybe take advantages of the current servers which are really elaborate and not bad on the whole. Four days ago, I asked Brittan about the progression of War 2.0, and he nicely answered me by telling that War 2.0 is not finished yet (he hasn't coded the whole gun plugin yet). You do not have to trust me about this information because there are a lot and lots of them are false, do what you want, but you can ask @Striker_Sly, he was here. Moreover, you guys seem to don't be patient, you always ask staff when 2.0'll come out and even if we give you an answer, you keep posting threads about that. This begins be to really nervous for us, you think that it's always easy to code a plugin or to make a new server. I personally don't take part in the development of War / Brawl 2.0 (even in building) also I can't really give you lots of informations but I've already given you one aforementioned. Content yourself with this information and the current servers and new one (Build / CTF and HG).

 

The thing is, Brittan shouldn't be working on a handful of other servers when he and every single admin already promised the release of War 2.0 in 2013, around two years ago. They really need to set their priorities straight. They shouldn't be working on any other servers until the one they already promised has been released. Instead of hyping and talking about updates, they should actually do them.

And Signatured said they're not updating any of the server right now because there would be no point considering they're already releasing the 2.0 servers and stuff.
But let's be real, that's never going to happen.

 

It;s not that hard, and it should not take over like 1.5 years. When Oragne's PC crashed he recoded mcwar and warz really quickly and it did not take even like a month. Now for an update?!?!??! They are not even recoding mcwar, they are just making a change in the code and I think it should not take over like 3 months to release 2.0

Totally agree their workings are bouncing everywhere, they stop in the middle of something for another thing and then keep coming back, thats disorganized and they need to set what is most important, updating a server that the community has been waiting for over a year and a half or a small bug fix on another server, they need to know what their priorites are

 

War 2.0 is the half life 3 of minecraft.... We will not get 2.0. I hate to say that but so far its what is happening.

The 2 poll options are very extreme; I would choose neither of them. We are not blind, we know that we failed to hold many release dates and lost a lot of trust from the community.
We are truly sorry for all the false hype, to make sure something similar doesn't happen again no release dates will be given out at all.

However, something needs to be clarified: We didn't work on one project for 2 years. Orange started coding a big update for Mc-War, then left us. Brittan took it up after a while and started coding a whole new server. This project also came to a halt. Then Joe/Killer_99 started working on War 2.0 and is doing that until today.
This is not supposed to be an excuse; just a clarification on why the progress that was made before Joe started working on it didn't really speed up his work.
