Anyone remember the time before the forums was filled with staff complaints?

 

I don't buy that it was all for school I think that was just easier than to say the Mods are poorly led.

 

I'm not going to vote solely because of the votes not being visible before voting.

 

Shayne and Mojang - demoted for inactivity
Striker_Sly - demoted for hacking on another server
Nxy and Callahan - resigned over an issue that has been dealt with
IronRaven - resigned because of school
GreenPeas - almost a year ago, resigned because of school
PistolParrot - long, long ago. Demoted for abuse and inactivity.
Brittan and Mario - focussing on development, they are still around.
fbm - demoted for inactivity

Overall we have lost quite some staff members in the last month, however, we have had larger resignation waves before and there are still many staff members left and new have just been promoted.

 

People resign if they want to resign.
They volunteered for the job, and they can leave it if they please.

 

I remember rants moved the staff last year.

 

I'd be banned if I hacked. I hacked on another server, don't leave that detail out.

I agree. I think the only thing said about Mods is when they started and if they are active. I don't think it's professional to say anything about why they aren't Mods any more.

I don't think anyone should say what happened that's between you and the admin team.

 

Nowhere did I state that you hacked on Brawl.

Once more, I never intended to say that he hacked on Brawl, I apologize if my formulation leads to this assumption.

Striker_Sly publicy explained the reasons for his demotion in his Outro. If he didn't want everyone to know why he was demoted, he could have simply said that in his outro and we would respect that.

However, neither the circumstances of Striker's demotion nor the question if the reasons for demotions should be given out are the topic of this thread, so lets get back to it.

You were demoted for hacking on a different server, huh? Nice. Now you can hack on that server without consequence though, so that's gotta be a bonus.

It was said by someone above, but yeah, at least you guys aren't having a 'buddokan incident' like mcpvp had. That was pretty awful.

 

I think a few smods could definitely be admins and maybe a few extra mods here and there. Otherwise I have noticed a rather annoying lack of staff when I play i don't always want to go on ts and get a mod from another server when there are none that just takes away from them, all in all we nees a few more trusted staff.

 

I think the mod demotion/resignation are all reasonable, and there isn't really a problem since there are several new mods now.

 

The washout rate of Mods lasting 3 months is getting worse.

Why would an experienced player want to be a Mod? I just don't see why anyone would want to volunteer in an environment with poor leadership, transparency issues, and big brother always looking over your shoulder.

The role is needs a redesign so people stay longer and don't washout as fast. Everything people are saying is a politically correct way of saying this stunk like 6 week old tuna when they quit.
