    On MCPVP there used to be (don't know if it was there till the end of it) a system. If someone was suffocating in an obsidian block, it would change to a cobblestone one so it's not inescapable. DO THIS WITH END PORTALS!

    You could still soup until the 40 mins. have passed, or just throw an enderpearl. I have a feeling this would just help destroy traps in HG, and that's not a good thing. I have personally never have had a problem with this, I just consider it part of the endermage kit.

    no. ruins fun traps... they are just hard to get out of if you panic.

    No. End-portal traps are IMPOSSIBLE to get out of unless you have enderpearls. If a wood block is used I'm fine if I die to that, but if it's an end-portal frame I die in, I'll be angry coz bugs are being abused
