Now or never

Maybe they could turn more of the No-soup servers into Soup HG servers but atleast keep some of the No-soup for those who enjoy them.

 

I personally prefer no-soup, so I am kinda against this...

 

I prefer soup a lot more, but no soup is more noob friendly. New players join because of no soup. I want more soup servers too, but you got to think about new players too

 

Exactly it doesn't matter if it's No-soup, they aren't gonna wait 15 minutes after dying.

 

Which is also why crits need to be fixed.

They most likely would play the soup game, and so this also could help them get good at souping, and maybe eventually they would be huge members of the soup community

 

Add more soup servers, but keep the same amount of no-soup. No soup is fun when I don't feel like trying.

 

Some people like No-Soup due to their lack of soup skills, but there are not many people on Brawl that don't know how to soup plus people who play HG. My suggestion would be to convert a few No-Soup servers to Soup ones.

 

My opinion here: I prefer no-soup, I am kinda against converting no-soup servers in to soup.

BUT I can play soup games, so even if all no-soup servers were soup servers, I would still play. I am not sure would so many people stay if we did it the other way tho...

So, keep it as it is, and if you think it helps hg, then go ahead and make new soup servers. I prefer playing soup more often than no-soup with 10-20min waiting time.

Why? Because of the attack cooldown? You can disable it with attribute modifiers, and I am sure there is going to be even a easier way trough plugins. Because sword blocking got removed? I do not think so. Shields? Unlikely, but you can disable them (just like they disabled boats!)

 

While I do prefer soup myself, I do think it's important to keep both types of servers as not to alienate parts of the player base. I know people who prefer one over the other and I think it's good that people have options according to their different skills.

 

Why? Any reasons why there should not be any more no-soup servers? And remember, hg is in BETA! That's right! BETA! I think you forgot that... And why "now or never", Brawl doesn't 100% depend on hg, so they don't need to do it "now". And please specify "now", as it may be this minute, day, week or even this month. +How you playing a 100 players game marks the time to get more soup servers or any servers at all? And, how much of a difference do you notice in the game if there are 87 or 100 players?

 

This is becoming a heated argument.

Anyway, when 1.9 comes out Brawl should keep the attack cooldown on no-soup so you can't die within 4 seconds when attacked by a player, but change it for soup severs so that the attack cooldown stays the same as it is currently in 1.8. The reason why I say this is because no-soup was created to attract new players, and if no-soup wants to keep that purpose it will have to keep the changes 1.9 makes, because new players will be looking for servers that have 1.9 features. The reason why soup servers shouldn't have the attack cooldown is because the attack cooldown was created to make pvp more "dynamic," but soup solves this problem already.

 

Agreed, 1.9 pvp would likely force people to rely more on strategy and their kits, as 1v1s would end up being very even and dependent on 1st hits. They'd have to find new ways to reliably kill people, and I think that would open up a more dynamic HG.
