There should be a kit where you can toggle with an item whether you can drop your soup and sword or not. Also, you start with a full hotbar of soup. This would be a great kit for newbies to soup.

Hm, that seems like a really good idea! But wouldn't it be hard for the newbies to actually drop the soup to replace it with another item? Well I can see how you can drop the items from pressing E then pressing Q, but that might not be very suitable for some inexperienced players.

Why would you need to drop a soup rapidly unless you were fighting? I haven't played HG in a while so if I'm being and idiot feel free to fill me in.

Well, maybe not in fighting but after the fight... a lot of people drop their soups to take gear in.

It'd be good for some new players, but the main problem is that this wouldn't really help players learn that much. It would help with quick dropping in a sense, but then could cause the problem of constant sword dropping along with soup. It wouldn't be useful in nosoup either. Nice idea though.

Yeah, I see what you mean by this. However, I do think that not being to accidentally drop soup and swords while you are fighting is a nice perk for new players. I remember when I was a noob and I would constantly drop my soup and swords in HG, but I would do fine in the pre-game.

Totally agree, always dropped everything... maybe some sort of item to toggle the dropping of soups?

Maybe it's similar to Castaway in the fact that's it always a free kit, maybe paired along with another kit it could make for a good trio of free kits depending on new player playstyles.

Noobs don't quickdrop, and pros don't drop their swords, so it would only be useful when learning to quickdrop.

I think there shouldn't be a kit which helps you to quick drop. I learnt quickdropping the hard way, dying multiple times after dropping soup, but now I'm an experienced quickdropper. Players learn better the hard way

Agreed, again, the problem with this kit is that it doesn't really 'teach', it just removes a slight difficulty when a player wants to try hotkeying. They won't really learn anything from using this.

But then again, they could get used to not dropping soup at all and when they use other kits, they die quickly coz they may drop a lot of soup. So this is like a benefit, and a disadvantage at the same time

I guess it'd depend on the skill level of the player. If they just want to hotkey and that's it I think that this would be fine, but personally I think this kit needs a bit more to be worth while. Maybe something that automatically gets rid of the bowls after you eat soup?

That's a very bad idea, I'm sorry. New players will get used to that, and won't get used to quickdropping or scroll-dropping.

Again, I just want this to be useful to new players. I don't think there's really a good way of making a kit that helps players to soup. Maybe some sort of tutorial kit for basics of souping? That might be very cumbersome though. Maybe the simplicity of the original idea is best, though it doesn't help you learn truly, like you stated before.

TBH the best way to help players to soup is not by making a kit, it's letting them practise in kit pvp servers.

A lot of players don't want to have to practice on kit pvp to learn how to soup, they just want to play HG and learn how to soup. I guess a good addition to this kit would be just start of in a game with a full hotbar of soup. Also, I think that after a while when the new players start learning about the kits and about how if they learn how to quickdrop, they can move on to better combat kits like viper or vampire. This kit is intended to be a "training kit" where new players can learn how to soup without having to spend time on kitpvp.
