    I thought it would be cool if players where given permission to lock their own threads that they create. For example, I see a lot of ADMINS and SMODS being tagged to lock threads, so why not just be able to lock their thread by themselves? I find this would be useful in many ways, and it would save the staff some time, instead of looking through locks requested by the owner.

    This is this an idea, and I wanted to see what you guys thing, and hopefully this will get added to brawl forums, since its a pretty nifty idea.

    You can just request a lock through reporting threads that are not in one of the sections above. This is usually handled fast and without any problems.

    i think you should have the perms to lock ONLY your own thread the the staff team can focus on Mcwar/Z updates ... cuz allwas they say #soon = #never ...

    JMods, Mods, SMods and Admins take care of locking threads. Coders/developers do not get distracted from coding because of this.

    I think this is a great idea.

    No need to waste someones time. @Lord_Roke I'd rather automate it so you can do more important things with your time. This is a waste of your talent to lock threads.

    The admin team needs to think how can I (they) make everything run more efficiently every single day so that more time and resources can be spent adding value where it matters.

    I like the idea. What if no one requests a lock and no mods lock it. What if that person wants it locked at that moment.

    Is anyone in charge of process improvements on the admin team? Coordinating all the work going on or looking for ways to improve?

    Maybe the admin team needs an Overlord to help transform the culture into a lean mean fighting machine...knocks donuts off the table.

    no, you would have the ability to lock the thread YOU and only you made.

    Maybe if someone answers a question incorrectly and the creator requests a lock so you just post correct answer first idk

    If so, don't you think it'd be more convenient to give players the ability to do it themselves? It'd be faster, and I can't think of any ways that it'd do any harm.

    Due to the way xenforo is, players would be able to unlock their threads that were locked by moderators and comment on their locked thread.

    I say you should be able to lock your own threads, if you have your problem/suggestion responded to and you understand whats happening you should be able to simply just lock it yourself.

    On the Marriland Forums (its a pokemon forum) there is a system allowing users to to lock and unlock their threads. However, to unlock their thread they have provide a valid reason.

    I would like to see a similar system on Brawl, but tweaked somewhat. Like if someone unlocked a thread for no reason the staff have permission to lock it permanently, and only admins would be able to re-unlock it.

    I think it'd be easier to just let players lock threads, and not unlock threads. They could always ask a mod to unlock it after.
