    Honestly, the first time I go on build to build my first CTF map and it's so difficult not to ignore all the spam and useless comments about skin competitions and other things. Yet the thing is even after these people are told to stop my mods and jmods, they still do it. I don't want to use /report every 5 minutes because of this problem. Some people say "Just turn off chat" but honestly i need the chat to private message people, which leads to a good point. Can we teach these people just to private message people instead of upsetting everyone in the global chat. Build should be a peaceful place to build, not having to switch on the other server because of spam.

    Some people are just like that, and thats the way they live. As you probably read here, theres nothing they can do about all of this unfortunetely :V

    I believe almost all of us are in the the same boat on this topic, non of us really like the immense amount of spam on the server.... But if we just start ignoring them... they won't get the attention that they "hunt".... Or we could just all start telling them to shut up? I dunno.... Its quite a hard thing to change, as people are getting used to being allowed spamvertising.... The only way i could really see this changing, is via one of the two possibilities I mentioned.

    Until there is a way to toggle off the global chat again, the best thing you can really do is ignore them or report them. Reporting them is probably your best option, as a staff member will be able to take care of the amount of spam. The rules for 'spamvertising' just need to be reiterated a bit more in the global chat.

    block 'skin' and/or 'competition' from global chat so they cannot advertise their **** that no one wants to enter anyway

    1 like = 1 step closer to a skin competition free server

    I personally think that skim comps are stand able I'm global chat, but with people constantly spamming
    Tp for skin comp 0/7
    *30 secs later
    Tp for skin comp 1/7
    *15 secs later*
    Tp for skin comp 2/7
    Etc...
    In creative you were allowed to advertise for a skin comp 1-2 times after that it was considered spam. We would often warn them not to spam, and if they continued we would go to the lobby and report for spamming. Many of these issues could be solved without contacting staff by going to you settings and turning off chat, if you need chat for world edit commands you could also go in f1 mode you can't see chat until you press t. These solutions may not be the best, but I they think they would work while they are working on a global chat toggle.

    Thats one way of doing it.... But if you wan't to keep your eye on a local chat as well.... It doesn't really work.
    There for there is a bit of a problem if you wan't to see what others say in your world.

    Until a way to turn off global is re implemented, do /report [name] [reason]. If nobody responded to the report after 5m, rereport.
