When/Is the server transfer happening?

What do you mean by transfer? The new COD? War 2.0 has no release date and has been talked about for a LONG time. Expect the release date to be really far back. The thing that is going to be released soon is going to Wild West. Not the War 2.0 soon, there is actually progress being done and if you look in the thread there are coders on it. The SAO server is not even being worked on (according to my knowledge), because it's going to use the things that come out in Minecraft 1.9. So until 1.9 is released I doubt they will start working on SAO, plus SAO will be a very large project that will take a long time, even when 1.9 is out. War is not really important as of now, and there hasn't been very much development. Considering that all the suggestions are being put towards 2.0, the coders abandoned War and put all their hopes on 2.0. TWO coders have retired, who have been working on 2.0, this greatly pushes up the release date.

 

From my research, I understand that the coders are working on releasing one server at a time. First Wild West, then War 2.0. If you haven't already, I suggest you read this thread stating the plans for war.

 

If they had enough time to create Wild West, then how come War 2.0 isn't out? Creating a new server takes lots of time, and they did Wild West in how much time? 1 year?. RIP War 2.0 to be released soon tm

 

The coders are working very hard to get war 2.0 set up and available to the public.

 

@sensei_snipes it takes time to code. Just be patient.

That's like saying you can't critique modern day feminism if you don't push an agenda of social justice warriors and tumblr hugbox wh*re sh*t into the media like sewage leaks.

I wouldn't run about saying you know the appropriate deadline for a server based on a game using Java, not to mention the extension of it being multiplayer and having to integrate networking concepts, after doing HTML.
As phanta said, 2+2 = 5 = HTML.

 

Java, Python, VBScript, etc. all take time. HTML is a cakewalk in comparison to those- and as we already have War right now... War 2.0 isn't a priority to release yet, because issues come up when coding all the time.

Wild West was a higher priority in our agenda mostly because MCPvP already started it- however never successfully completed it. It will definitely cushion the wait between now and the release of War 2.0- as its release is very soon.

I don't play War all that often, but it's a very complex game mode to create, I know that.
You just have to wait- threatening to leave Brawl for "3+ years" isn't going to make it release any faster

 

We never give out release dates anymore because another problem delaying the release might always come up.
One of the next servers to come up is WildWest which will also feature guns, so you should try it out when it is released.

It is not true that War never gets updated. We are still fixing major bugs, balancing guns and editing maps, we are just not adding new features.
