Any RTS players out there?

I know there's still a StarCraft community out there somewhere...
Personally, I play MOBA's, which are kind of like RTS's but with less base-building mechanics and more emphasis on laning.

 

Does playing Pikmin count? That's an RTS game...

Tbh, we all know Pikmin 2 is the best. The water graphics in that game are amazing for Gamecube standards and Purple Pikmin are easily the most overpowered thing in the game. The only thing I don't like is the boss of the Frontier Cavern in the Valley of Repose. Lost half my squad to that stupid boss.

 

I have had some RTS experience such as a hit of Starcraft games, along with Starfront. XCOM should count as well, despite being turn-based.

 

My favorite RTS game is the Creeper World series. Instead of smaller enemies, the enemy in the Creeper World series is one huge pool of blue liquid that slowly oozes through terrain, destroying the player's buildings. To defend against this Creeper, the player got to build weapons to shoot it down. In Creeper World 2 and 3 there are added more enemies that needs to be defeated in their own way. For example, gliders and runners in CW3 can only be destroyed by sniper towers, and normal Creeper can be destroyed by most weapons, except for snipers.

I play a fair amount of Age of Empires 2. An-- WHOAWHOAWHOA, I hope you meant Age of Empires 3 when you wrote that. Age of Empires 2 is probably one of if not the best RTS games ever made. Age of Empires 3 was the ****ty one.

 

Dayum. Never met someone who doesn't like it. It's generally regarded to be one of the best RTS games ever made and still has quite a big playerbase today.
