Hardcore Games Halloween Event! [ENDED]

    Hello Brawlers,

    With Halloween coming about we decided to host a Hardcore Games Event! It will have some spooky features and of course also some prizes for the winners!

    Now, one question many of you are probably asking yourself right now is whether it will be soup or no-soup HG. But don't you worry, the event will happen simultaneously on two Hardcore Games servers, one with soup, one without. Everyone will be able to play what they prefer and win some goodies!

    To give this event a special Halloween touch, you will only be able to use the following kits:
    Assassin, Beastmaster, Berserker, Cannibal, Hades, Madman, Monster, Nightlock, Ninja, Phantom, Reaper, Soulstealer, Spellmaster, Spiderman, Spirit, Urgal, Vampire, Werewolf, Ghost, and Vulture.
    Everyone will have access to all the kits, so you can also go and try out one you never used before!
    There will also not be a 40 minutes time limit, however, the border will shrink.

    To make the event more fair for single players, only teams of two will be allowed. If the watching staff members catch you in a team of 3 or more, all team members will be disqualified and kicked from the event server. You don't want to miss the advantage of a team mate helping you, so make sure to bring your friend! But also never forget, there can only be one winner in the Hardcore Games!

    The event will take place on 1.mc-hg.com (No-soup) at 3:00 PM CST and 2.mc-hg.com (Soup) at 3:10 PM CST on October 31. As usual, you will be able to join the servers 15 minutes before the game starts to prepare and fight in the arena, during the event all other HG servers will be un-joinable.


    Prizes:
    • 1st: 1 Month of Global ELITE + 4 kits of your choice
    • 2nd: 1 Month of Global MVP + 3 kits of your choice
    • 3rd: 1 Month of Global VIP + 2 kit of your choice
    • 4th - 12th: 1 kit of your choice
    The prizes are similar for both servers. Make sure you are registered on the forums, otherwise we will not be able to contact you if you win any of the prizes. If you already have a lifetime rank similar to or higher than the one you won, you will receive a coupon for the store.


    Summary:
    • Where will the event be held? 1.mc-hg.com (No-soup) and 2.mc-hg.com (Soup)
    • When is the event? October 31st
      • No-soup: 1:00 PM PST / 3:00 PM CST / 4:00 PM EST / 8:00 PM GMT / 9:00 PM MET
      • Soup: 1:10 PM PST / 3:10 PM CST / 4:10 PM EST / 8:10 PM GMT / 9:10 PM MET
    • How can my team and I participate? Simply log on in the 15 minutes before the start!

    Quite excited for this one, hopefully with be somewhat reminiscent of the Quarter Quells McPVP had (of course not as big but it still should be fun).

    Glad to see the first Hardcore Games event! Perfect timing considering that the Beta has just been released with awesome bug fixes and additions :wink:. I probably won't be able to attend, but I wish good luck to all contestants!

    (The prizes goes to both players in the team right?)

    No, it all depends on when you die. If a team is left in the end, they will have to fight eachother.

    Stomper is a must have for any event!
    Urgal shouldn't be in this
    Disable the 40 min kill, make the event unlimited time

    Won't be participating this event, AGAIN. Since most of brawl servers lag a little to alot. Espescially Hardcore Games, not even able to stablilize my fps to 30-60 fps. It goes down to 10 and lower. So yeah.

    Are you going to remove the automatic 40-minute win for this? (or better yet, completely remove it from HG)

    If these boys play in the tourneyment, don't look for a win... Talk about the refills though. That's what I need to practice for the tournament

    Are you aloud to receive the prize as a coupon if you don't play HG? Or can you only get the coupon if you just have a similar/higher rank?

    Why is it so late?
    In Europe it's not even Octobre anymore...
    It could easily be shoved up earlier, since it's a saturday.

    The event starts around 10 PM GMT and ends before 11 PM. Since it is a saturday, I do believe many european players will be able to participate.

    GMT will only count for England (I already calculated time change in), in the rest of Europe we use GMT+1 and then it starts at 11PM and and ends at 12PM...
    Of course many people are still able to participate but some can't, just informing. :wink:

    Made a mistake when converting timezones, it is 9 PM GMT and 10 PM MET.
