    Hello everyone,

For a couple of months I have been noticing a lot of players who are always complaining about the new updates or features which have been added to Brawl, or the "false" announced dates, consequently, I'm making this thread for those stated above. And please do not post a reply without reading this thread.

Note: I'm not going to talk about everyone, I'm just speaking to a few members but I want everyone to understand. Moreover, I'm speaking about the complainers, but jot down notes that I'm not moaning about them.

To begin, when WildWest will be released in a few weeks now, you ought to play it instead of waiting for War 2.0. Playing WildWest could decrease your expectation by a lot. Moreover, please read chickenputty's thread if you haven't done that yet. Perhaps it could avoid your criticisms of coders works.

Thereafter, please think about the way we are currently working on a lot of projects and put Brawl on top of the Minecraft servers. Updating, realising server on time, adding features are easier said than done. Coders are working hardly, as well as every single staff member.
Regarding War/Z 2.0, please note that the hardest things to code are the guns and the gun plugin itself. Instead of always complaining, I advise you to enjoy playing the current servers because they will be maybe shut down like SG/G. Besides, if you don't want to wait until their releasing dates, then you should learn how to code and work alongside the current coders who are working on 2.0 servers.

Now for the players of McPvP, Build are CTF are both out of beta and Totom3 is working on HG so I guess it's the best thing you'd hoped for. We bought tree of your servers which is better than nothing.
Aren't you happy to belong to one of the best Minecraft community with the best servers around? There are a lot of of events for each servers, so why don't you want to participate in those?

Besides complaining a lot of you guys are impatient regarding updates, new features etc. I know, you're going to say something like "What I've been waiting since 2 years", but as I already said above, imagining the purpose of the new server / features, coding, making textures (if needed), releasing on time etc. Those things take a lot of time. You want coders to code rapidly, but this thought is easier said than done...

To conclude, please stop complaining, but enjoy our servers, otherwise you will make this community "rotten".

    Thanks for your understanding,
    Algelier.

Not to rain on the parade of positive unicorns and rainbows but people are only complaining for a variety of reasons many of which are rarely taken seriously but upset the community.

I know you mean well with this thread and all, but there is no way to excuse over 2 years of waiting for a gamemode. This thread also kind of makes staff look bad, it would be better to apologize than to say "It takes time" <-------Bad excuse

I don't play War but cmon 2 years? That's beyond ridiculous

I don't think the lack of updates and servers is caused by a lack of effort from the coders. Instead, I think it's a really good example of horrendously in-effective use of recources.

War 2.0 isn't overdue because no one was working on it, it is overdue because it's been re-done twice now, and will be re-done atleast one more time. I mean, really?

People shouldn't blame just the admins, or just the coders for something. The matter of fact is, the overdue servers are the result og multiple factors, and no one specifically can be blamed 100% percent, they're only partially at fault.

Like Rez said above, the coders aren't focusing on what they should be. I think most of the community can agree with me when I say that we would rather have the new versions of War/Z than some servers that we can easily find on any other Minecraft server network; E.G hunger games. Of you think about it, War/Z are the things that make this network different to any other and neglecting these servers causes a lot of hardcore Brawl fans to become bored and leave. I have been waiting for War 2.0 for over 2 years and nearly all of the servers that Brawl has added in since that time I can play on other networks instead. Not really that exciting if you ask me.

Yes we do understand that there have been complications with the coding and developers but if Myortvye had just dedicated his time to War along with Killer_99 then we could have had 2.0 ages ago, instead of some other servers that can be found on every single Minecraft network,; most of the servers introduced have been closed down anyways...

No actual released servers have been closed down with the exception of murder and KitPvP (temp). I'm pretty sure, at least.

I don't believe release dates Brawl gives anymore. The game either comes out or it doesn't.

You're blaming a front-end moderator who has no control over reliease dates?

The only groups that can determine the release dates for gamemodes are:

    • Administrators/Chap (Control priorites and are project managers. Delays occur due to a shift in focus Ex: McMoba delayed)
    • Developers (Actually code the gamemode. Delays occur due to instruction from admins to work somewhere else or from backend technology being broken Ex: War 2.0 delayed)
    • Build Team (Build the maps. Delays occur due to map completion rate and general inactivity Ex: WildWest delayed)
Any other groups (All gamemode staff, Wiki Team, etc) are irrelavent to project completion, except during bugtesting, but by then the gamemode is usually coded and about to release.

As I've literally said 12 times before, it's just a little hard to enjoy the current servers if there are blatant things that could be fixed to make them enjoyable.
I understand that coding these servers are hard, but after 2 years and no updates to the current servers, the whole amazing guns experience is getting really bland.
Thanks for making this thread, but I feel there really are somewhat small things that can be done to improve the current servers that we all know and love.

I'm gonna respond solely to HG. The Halloween tourney is gonna flop if cocoa beans, crits or the compass bugs aren't fixed. Why am I complaining a lot although HG is being worked on? Not the main issue is being fixed, which is crits. Do you want to know how many people quit Brawl coz of their poor management of HG? At least 100 regulars on MCPVP. I won't name all, but some like StolenPvP have over 4k subs and could actually have helped bring more players to Brawl. I'll stop as soon as crits are fixed. And by the way,
    three*

Three more, actually. SG, SSG, fpsHG. Skywars was shut down for a bit and minestrike was shut down for like a year, but they were both brought back despite being full of bugs and glitches.

I used to think that the coders weren't going as fast as they could/should, but then I actually tried coding myself lol. It is way harder than I thought. Perhaps try to put yourself in their shoes and give coding a try. Keep up the good work devs. You're all doing an awesome job.

Front end mods shouldn't try to tell the community to not blame the people actually responsible.

Oh, sorry, forgot the SGG and SG debacle.

No one said coding was easy, but these people are professionals and know what they're doing. We are saying that we would like to see them getting their priorities in order and work on things that the community would actually like to see, such as War/Z 2.0.

I don't know why Brawl thinks that copying and pasting the code of a successful gamemode is going to make Brawl a big network. Why would anyone want to play let's say HG here, when they can play it on a big network where there is a bigger player base, more staff, better maintinence and possibly better plug-ins and anti-cheat technology.

The thing that made Brawl great back in the day was the unique servers like war and warZ. We want those to be re-worked, not some generic gamemode that can be found on every other network.

I understand that they are proffesionals, but they can only code so fast. I'm sure they are working as hard as they can. Besides, with a community as large as brawl, you can't please everyone. As alg said, the new Wild West server will distract players from the wait of war 2.0. Just hang on, everything will be here eventually.
