Brawl Junior Moderator Application: *NOTE: I was allowed to keep the same structure as my last application, whilst changing any necessary details.*

Have you read over this thread? - I have read over the thread many times, as well as looking at both accepted and declined applications in order to make my application as detailed as possible.

What is your in-game name? - My in game name is _featherpaw_.

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. - I have never changed my name, and plan to never change it.

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? - No one has access to my account and no one will ever have access.

How old are you? - I am 18.

What time zone are you in? - I am in the Central Time Zone.

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - I can speak a little Spanish, but my first language is English and I'm by no means fluent in Spanish.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - I started Minecraft out on the alpha version which was fun for a while. However I quickly became bored of single player mode and left Minecraft for a long time. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I got back into the game. My friend wanted me to play a game called capture the flag on MCPVP. I was hesitant but grew to like it very quickly. I spent almost 8 hours a day on MCPVP. I was hooked and couldn't stop playing. I eventually started to play other game modes and fell in love with both Raid and Hunger Games as well! I took a little bit of experience from each game mode: In CTF i learned to become a good archer, in Raid I learned all the recipes needed to successfully play and survive, and in HG I learned to soup and pvp. When the server announced that it was being bought by Brawl I was very disappointed and didn't give the server a chance. Eventually though, I couldn't bear to not play raid or CTF so I joined up on Brawl.com and fell in love all over again! I especially fell in love with Minecraft party because the mini games are fast paced and so unique. So I became addicted to Brawl.com and now I spend most of my time on this server.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I've never moderated a server but I have watched how Moderators react in-game and take mental notes. Many of my friends are also moderators and I ask them questions constantly.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - If I have the privilege of becoming a Moderator I hope to help make the in-game experience exciting and fun for players. Being a normal player has not inhibited me from helping players, but with Moderator I can hopefully help people to love the game as much as I do and maybe make their day a little better.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have never used a hack client because I understand it gives an unfair advantage.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - I have never been banned on a Minecraft server and do not plan to ever disobey the rules.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My greatest strength for me would probably be that I love nothing more than to make people happy. I want to help people in any way possible and because I am on very often I can help a lot of players.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My greatest weakness is that I have a hard time multitasking. If multiple people PM me I have a hard time organizing the messages, but I promise I will improve and do my best to get back to people in a quick and orderly fashion.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? - Due to my current job I had to take some time off of brawl.com, but now I have my work schedule under control and would say I am on about 4 hours a day.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on? - I am mostly active on minecraft party, but I also spend a lot of time on CTF, Skywars, hardcore games, and recently creative.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? - Due to college classes and work I may not be able to be on for long periods of time on certain days. Weekdays I can typically be on about 6 hours a day. The exception to that is Friday because I work. Weekends are a little more restraining because family comes first and weekends are when my dad's fiance comes over and we all go out as a family to do stuff. Other than that, I consider my schedule to be pretty open.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? - Different scenarios require different punishments. for instance:

*Spamming: If someone was spamming in chat I would warn the player that if they continued I would mute them. I would then delete all the extra text. If they continued to spam I would mute the player for 10 minutes and delete all the extra text. I would again warn them (in a private message) that if their behavior continued i would increase the mute-time and eventually have to kick them. If their behavior did not improve I would kick them from the server for a certain amount of time and explain in a private message why they have been kicked.

*Hacking: If someone is accused of hacking I would closely monitor that player to see if they are in fact hacking. I would begin to record video as proof for if they were hacking. If they were found to be hacking i would report the player and send in the video as proof. I would then private message the player explaining that they have been reported and should stop using the hack.

*Glitching: If a player is glitching purposefully I would private message the player and tell them what they are is doing wrong and ask them not to glitch again. If they continue I would kick them from the server for 10 minutes and explain why they have been kicked. If they came back and glitched again I would increment the amount of time they are kicked.

*Bad Language/racial slurs: For vulgar language or racial slurs I would ask the player in a normal message to not use that language. if they continued to speak in a vulgar way I would mute the player for a certain amount of time based on how bad the language was. If they continued in their behavior after being muted multiple times I would kick them from the server with an explanation of why they were being kicked.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? -

*18+ content: If someone posted something 18+ I would immediately lock the thread and report the incident to a senior Moderator. I would then private message the person that posted the content and explain why their thread has been locked.

*Flaming: If a flame war begins in a thread I would ask that they please stop. If the problem persists I would lock the thread and delete any flame comments.

*Grave digging: If someone responded to a thread that was 30 days or older and the reply was not informative I would lock the thread and private message the person that posted the reply, explaining to them that they were grave digging.

*Off topic: if someone was posting stuff that was off topic to the thread I would delete the comment and private message the person and tell them that their comment was off topic. If the problem persists I would have no choice but to lock the thread.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? -

*18+ content: If someone posted links to 18+ material or uploaded files of 18+ material I would immediately report it to a senior moderator. I would then move the person to jail.

*Loud background noise: If there was a lot of background noise coming from someone's mic I would kindly ask them to please move to a background noise channel. If they refused or ignored me I would place them in the channel myself.

*Vulgar language: If someone was being rude, yelling, cussing, or being immature I would ask them to kindly stop. If they continued I would mute the person for a certain amount of time. If the problem persisted I would have no choice but to place the person in the jail channel.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? - I actually had something like this happen recently on minecraft party so I was able to have a real-time situation. All the minecraft party servers were repeating only one game over and over again. there were no JMODs on so I alerted Lord_Roke of the issue via TeamSpeak3. I then went to the forums and let the community know that the issue had been reported so as to not cause a panic. I spent the remainder of the time looping through all the servers and letting everyone know that the issue was a bug in the system, that the bug had been reported, and that it would be fixed shortly. I stayed on the servers constantly informing people until a staff member was able to go online and shut the servers down for maintenance. If the glitch had been more serious and players were able to take advantage of it, I would have started to record people abusing the glitch. After reporting the offenders I would remind everyone that if they were to abuse the glitch I would kick/report them. Again, I would stay on the server answering any questions or concerns until a higher staff member could come to resolve the issue.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - I have made one before this and was unwilling to write another until I felt I had worked on the issues everyone had PM'ed me about.

What is the date of the last application you submitted? - September 24th is the date shown on my last application.

Do you have a working microphone? - Yes I have a working microphone.

Are you able to record and upload videos? - Yes I am able to record and upload videos.

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? - I am familiar with them but if I had any questions I would ask a fellow staff member.

Anything else we should know about you? - I love animals and am kind of a dork. You'll probably see me in game mediating any problems even if I do not get the Moderator rank. I love making friends on Minecraft and will make any and all improvements given to me so that I may better help the Minecraft community.
