Do you think the server needs a reset? (if so how bad?)

    Hello everyone.

    I recently started playing on brawl survival pvp server (like a month or 2 ago, i'm old mcpvp player from like 3-4 yrs ago.)
    And i think that the server really needs a reset like they did every 2-3 months on mc pvp. It balances the server alot more so it's not like a couple of teams that rules the whole server like it is now.
    I've asked several mods for a reset and why they won't. They all replied with stuff like "The server won't reset because it dosen't need one" "The server dosen't need to reset, it's fine."
    And i'm just sitting here and thinking how is it fine when some people have over 25.000 gold and several double chests of op diamond gear and everything they need. So please leave a vote if you think the server needs a reset, maybe we can change the mod's/admins opinion!

    In my opinion, it should not reset every 2/3 months like MCPvP - Yes some people (me) have a lot of stuff, but we worked hard for it, no point in resetting every time someone gets OP.

    I agree that it dosen't have to be like every 2-3 months, totally. But i think what is it now? 9-10 months? it too long time, and ofc ppl that worked hard for op but it ruin alot of the fun for the beginners, and i know alot who quit cause they heard that there won't be a reset or at least not soon

    I do agree with a reset but kind of a "yes" and "no" situation. It's based on when 1.9 is fully released. If we reset now and need to reset like 3 months later to update to 1.9 it wouldn't be a point. But if 1.9 comes out the first 1 or 2 months in 2016 it would be handy to reset at that point.

    Yea, but i think almost none of us want the server to update to 1.9 we just want the server to stay on 1.8 but still reset.

    We could update to 1.9 but we would need the command so you can jitter click again in pvp because that's the most hated thing. Also shields are gone be a pain in the butt just like tipped arrows. But if we stay 1.8 the income of new players will die.

    Yea it's a hard sitouation, because alot players will quit if it get's 1.9 update but also the opposite

    If you want it or not. It will be updated to 1.9 and some good old players might quit but everything has its ups and downs.

    howbout we do the best alternative that had the most players, switch the server back to 1.7 and call it mcbrawl again, Imagine the sales and players that would fly back in,

    Good idea? I think

    I personally like the yearly reset. If you don't like op players, then work your way to the top. During this map I went from an utmost noob to one of the best. It's all possible with hard work and determination.

    We are waiting for Minecraft 1.9 before we consider resetting the server.

    I dont think we need a reset until after January, but an event is needed

    Is there any way you could do the maze event again?
    Like, if you have the code or the maze thing somewhere, you could make minor changes and we could play it again.

    If they do resets often, people should be able to chose 9 stacks of items, not including gold, to take with them. So for people who played the old map a lot, they wouldn't have to do all the boring, tedious work it takes to get fully OP again.

    A lot of people like the resets for a fresh start. 9 stacks of items it quite a lot if you think about it. Most OP people want to start fresh again so that there is some competition.

    1.7 is too far back. I bet that 1.9 will be better than most people think. It's not all bad.
