Can I ask how it's affecting 1v1's? Because if you run away long enough, you should do a lot of dmg to them. You still got the effect for 1v1. It was still like that on mcpvp if I am correct.

No no the kit was designed to take down teams and was like that on mcpvp for only a brief time only due to a bug. I've had fights (not anymore because everyone dies extremely quick now) that have lasted for ages, if Madman works like this it isn't fair.

Madman is a class where you are alerted of a nearby Madman. Fair enough, you can choose to run- and exponentially increase your damage taken and die if hit... Or, you could fight the Madman and take a lesser risk.

It may not seem like it, but it's simple to counter.
Waiting out/Running From a Madman is just a mistake in itself.

Because of this, it's balanced- as far as I'm concerned.

I believe the gauge should show at the top what % the effect is on you still though. Not just fade in and fade almost instantly out.

According to Totom the damage has been adjusted slightly (a bit less), and the radius is now a bit smaller (20 to 17). From my knowledge the kit isn't intended to affect 1v1s, though this may have been changed.

Flawed, Madman can easily stall a fight. There are also fights that can last up to 20 minutes. It was always meant to be an Anti-Team kit not a kit to rush fights on. Have you seen how much madman damage can do? I'm guessing not

Also the madman percentage is still supposed to go up however the incoming damage increase isn't supposed to come into play until there are 2 or more players in the radius

    It shouldn't affect 1v1s

In my opinion, Madman should be a very effective kit against teams. If it works the same way with 1v1s (I own the kit and haven't experienced this, as far as I know), then it seems a bit unfair to me. Even if you know a madman is there and are aware of what they can do to you, it is still overpowered as it essentially guarantees a win in a fight if they are not able to kill you within a minute at maximum. I reckon it should only be in effect after there are 2 or more people in the radius of the madman, otherwise it is an anti-everything kit rather than an anti-team kit.

On McPvP, there has been a formula for the increase of the Madman damage, but the damage you take only started to rise if there are 2 or more players in the radius of the Madman (excluding the madman himself). 2 Players ~3% per second, 3 players ~5% per second and so on.
But Madman was meant to be an anti team kit; it originally affected 1v1s but this was changed due to its unfairness, because the Madman could easily stall the fight, or even if it's a normal full iron fight, the damage has been to op.
In my opinion, Madman shouldn't have an impact on 1v1s.

I was under the impression that this was still the case (the formula I mean). If it is not, then it isn't an anti team kit, but overall an over powered one, and in my view, should be changed back.

The nerf prior to the Halloween event was to answer this thread but I prefer much more the idea of only starting the effect when 2+ players are nearby. I will try to squeeze that in my todo list and will by the same occasion make the damage increase slightly faster. Thanks to everyone that voiced their opinion!
