I think it's healthy to have newer voices on the forums.

Yes, they might be inexperienced but they bring fresh prospective.

Some have played a very long time before making their way to the forums.

Yea but not when they 'spam' the forums with useless posts.

There was this WarZ player on HG forums (regulars will know his name). He posted the most utterly useless ****.

"A month of MVP for winning the QQ" where on MCPVP it was lifetime elite, then 500 amazon cards. Such knowledge.

"Brawl revamped HG (or something along those lines)". Damn, the flame he got made him worthy to become a piece of charcoal

The only reason I would hate these "tryhards" if they make comments with no relevance or wrong statements and people know that they don't even play on that server. But still you shouldn't be bugged too much. At least people are trying to help.

Some are helpful, some are absolutely useless. "I agree!" "Definitely will do this!" "Great idea!"

Personally. I love people who are so opinionated about the game yet never play and their only contributions are from the forums....

    I find them lame2.

I f*cking love every person in this thread who thinks that people helping other people is a bad thing.

Like, seriously, even if they're giving wrong advice, you could help them and correct them instead of making an entire thread *****ing about people who are at least trying to be nice.

When someone who might not deserve mod gets it, yes, that's a problem, and it's entirely the reason Brawl has Jmod ranks!

In fact, the people who are a worse problem to the forum are you guys. The ones who see people trying and say it's bad. The ones who b*tch and complain about topics like this instead of, you know, being helpful, the ones who actively take away from any conversation being had which involves one of these people solely because god forbid they wish to moderate the server.

So yeah, forum tryhards? Problem. People who b*tch about forum tryhards instead of even just ignoring them, or better yet actively correcting them? Bigger problem.

I understand where you're coming from, but what if the messages they post are utterly redundant and are by no means helpful?

Well if you consider this useless what about messages that repeat pretty much the same thing in the original thread? Or "Good idea!" "I agree!"

Like half the people responding to this thread?

    Yeah.

That one is situational. I am ok with people agreeing with a thread, but an entire thread of people saying the same thing isn't really a discussion, but more of an echo chamber.

That's literally what the forum tryhards do. This is off topic, so it doesn't count as posts, but I'm not gonna start arguing about that. My main point is that most tryhards create the "echo chamber"

Very well said, BAWSS5. We here at the Brawl community have a grand history of complaining about a problem and our complaints turning out to be a bigger problem. It's true, forum try-harders may piss some people off, but is it really the kind of thing you need to make a thread about? You're not obliged to like everyone on the forums, and nor should you. Some people prefer to swear, and make references to obscure video games and tell jokes, and not give a damn. Other people prefer to be sweetness and light, helping other out, being friendly, giving advice. Or you could be a different kind of person altogether. The point is, making a thread to try and stamp out behavioral aspects of some people on these forums, it's not really going to help anyone.
