I don't think so, brawl is a new server and doesn't get near the amount of players Mcpvp had so I doubt Lionsgate has a problem with it

EDIT: Pretty sure that sign was for an old gamemode anyways

 

I doubt that a server that started in 2012 is new in 2015

 

Very true, also, on the copyright infringement front, Lionsgate will have a good legal standing if Brawl changes it back, due to the prior infringement and subsequent warning that was issued with no punishment. Essentially, they will have more leverage, perhaps even to scrap the gamemode entirely, (though I very much doubt that would be the case).

 

I don't really think that it would bother them too much, considering HG's size isn't as big as it was whenever Lionsgate went after them for the name change. I think a name change back would be good for the gamemode as more people would search for 'Minecraft Hunger Games' rather than 'Hardcore Games'.

And back on topic, I believe the sign is from the remnant Survival Games servers which are no longer up, though I think it's fine how it is.

Lionsgate doesn't have a copyright on a sign saying "Hunger Games".

 

If (I do realise that the chances are astronomically thin) that Brawl getst he same influx as MCPVP did when the movie came out, then it would bother them, and they would have a better legal standing as Brawl essentially integrated MCPVP. However, you can give it the unofficial name of Hunger Games and advertise it as such, provided the official name is still the Hardcore Games. This way they cannot threaten with legal action as legally, the name would still be Hardcore Games.

I think that this is our best option in terms of the name- advertise it and get it known as the Hunger Games but legally it is still called the Hardcore Games.
