It´s the same with the racism in the community, like 60% of the old players call Germans "Nazis" even if they aren´t acting like a German, they get called out for things of the past. and that could make them leave or as you said above they may end their own life, and I would not really like to hear that I drove a member of the community to end their life, but many people doesn´t even care about that, that´s sad in my opinion. :frowning:

What you need to understand is the concept of othering a group of people. when someone 'others' another person they make it so people and themselves understand that there is a difference between that person and themselves. And will always refer to them in a certain way to distance themselves emotionally from the person. This makes it a lot easier to say hurtful things you wouldn't dare say to someone in real life. Not to mention that in your mind you're just talking to pixels. You don't make the emotional connection that humans make face to face.

    What are you on about?
    Like actually, what?
Do you have any clue about WarZ?
    Like what?
People looting for hours isn't the reason, and it hasn't been for 2 years.
Antisocial little ****ers like you and me who take things way too seriously is the reason, and that is the only reason.

You sure you have any grounds to post here?

    Uh, Aslyum?
I can't take you seriously considering the people you play with.
Associate with people who actually back up what you're saying.

You haven't listed actual DDoS next to DDoS threats.

Anyone else find it kinda ironic that there's all this conflict on a server called MC-WARZ?

This would require the community to understand that they will be helped, and this initiative will not be taken up by most. What would you suggest to help encourage this?

Don't talk down to me like I'm an idiot I've been around the warz community much longer than you and I know what I'm talking about I've been witnessing it happening and I have contributed to it happening as an active player for almost 3 years.

And don't even try to disarm me by bringing up my past and making me look like an asshole which I will admit I am at times, but this is what ritzy is talking about. I'm trying to take a step back and share my honest opinion about why the community is the way it is and here you go trying to draw attention towards yourself by putting down other ideas, in a negative manner I might add, instead of contributing to the conversation at hand. And I know because I used to do this, so stop it.

There's a problem with this idea, @Ritzy and its a big one. I too would like to think of a utopian WarZ in which everyone is friendly and kind and there are none of the awful things you mentioned above. But, in all honesty, immaturity is easier and it's more fun. Take it from someone who's been playing jump-rope with the line of maturity for a couple of years, at least regarding Brawl. It's like this. If, at the exact same second, everyone could make a decision to act mature, then I think it would for the most part work. But if you're trying to be mature, and someone else calls you a ****ing Jew and insults every aspect of your personality, you start thinking whether or not it's really worth it to be calm and collected. Maturity is just too hard for most people on the Internet our age, and many people will act mature for personal gain (half the staff team). Given how 99% of our player base is between 8-18 years old, how much maturity can we really expect? I guess the issue we can and should be trying to fix (although it seems the staff team isn't) is DDoS. Also things such as Swatting and death threats, etc.

So maybe instead of making a thread about our community rising, in which everyone discusses the size of everyone else's team (srsly, size doesn't matter ) or an irrelevant betrayal that happened over a year ago, we should sit down and talk about what we can do. I am going to try act mature, although I can't promise it will always work. Ritzy is right in that we desperately need more moderators, but it's just as much about the players. I know I said maturity is a hard goal to reach for this community, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. We don't need everyone to act mature, it wouldn't be right to expect that, you don't have to be mature all the time, you can even be faking it, but a step towards maturity... Really it can't hurt.

You can't fix what's already done, there will always be that salty kid raging at you because you killed him/teammed on him.

I honestly think we need some type of medicinal drug for this kind of cancer.

Well just from replies I can see this ain't happening. In all seriousness though we need people to rise above themselves and attempt to take staff on. We quite simply don't have enough staff in the WarZ section. Some of you seriously need to look at that list and think if it you doing this. Just remember the person you attack in any way whether it be a death threat or a DDoS attack is a real person as well.

We can't expect them to apply for staff because,
    A. They can't handle their tempers in a manner that doesn't seem to be appropriate.
    B. Competitive, nuff said.
    C. When they hear you get free (temporary Elite?) with the staff rank, they'll do anything to get that without putting effort into showing their capabilities to handle the staff rank.

It's just not going to work out in a super heavily competitive server. It's just best to create a better and new one and to let the community destroy itself.

I very much agree with what you are trying to day here @Ritzy, however it is not as simple as you would think. Behaviour is learned, you learn how to act from the people around you. If you are bought up with abusive people that is how you will learn to act, if you are bought up with very kind and respectful people you will act kindly and with respect. This is an issue on WarZ because the new people that are joining the server see the way that the more well known players act and they follow suit. It's a chain reaction: new member joins and is influenced by what he sees and that is how he acts, another member joins later and the same thing happens. Most of the people that are playing Brawl and WarZ are between the ages of around 10-15, ages at which we are very impressionable and someone coming in and seeing all the cuss words and threats flying around is going to think that it is perfectly acceptable to do the same. To counter this we need to make it clear to people as soon as they log on that this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Maybe a message that pops up when you log in saying "Please make sure you are aware of our chat regulations, if you fail to abide by these rules you will be muted" or something along those lines making it completely clear that foul language and abuse is not ok on Brawl.

Another point I have to make, like @Skulduggery57 mentioned, people are so violent towards minorities or groups of people that they think are not as good as them. When I was a WarZ mod I got so much abuse because of my religious views it was unbelievable. I would be called all sorts of slang or told to go gas myself and people would crack racist and insensitive jokes like it was no big deal. Mods aren't really taken seriously, if a mod gets on people don't go "oh crap I need to act good now" they practically ignore them. Again when I was a Moderator unless I actually kicked someone no one would listen to my warnings or take any notice of my whatsoever. Mod's need to be more strict when it comes to chat rules, on War/Z people are constantly cussing and being abusive and very rarely I ever see a Mod+ telling them to stop what they're doing. Today I even had to tell a mod to do their job because they were more focused on playing the game than they were controlling the community.
