    Hi,

I think that there should be some way for trialing a kit, just to be sure that you want to buy it. Perhaps you can trial a kit for a day or so, or maybe you get a trial period for a kit as a reward. Perhaps you could even buy a trial with any credits that you get from the game (if and when rewards are implemented). It would be nice to be able to get the feel of a kit before committing and buying it, especially since the old MCPVP systems of kit swapping is gone.

    What do you guys think?

(This may have already been posted, but I am unsure. Apologies in advance if this is the case.)

I think MCPVP had something like this if you voted for them. This should be something that you can redeem with voting tokens

    A very good addition

How long do you thin the trial period should span for? I was thinking around three days or so.

If anything this could be part of some sort of reward system as suggested before (like winning has a random chance of giving you x kit for x days/hours). I do like the idea of this, though it would need to be somewhat hard to get so people aren't getting trials all the time.

I do like the idea of also spending vote tokens on them. Possibly you could use them to extend current kit trials (of course so that you couldn't run them infinitly), though it'd need a bit of balancing for buying them with vote tokens.

Another good idea is if you buy a kit, you get a token with which you can either save up, or spend and get one of your choice for 1 hour. You could build up to a week long for 10 tokens, 30 for a month, and 90 for possibly lifetime? We could do voting to earn tokens as well.

I reckon that this would encourage more people to vote and in turn, encourage more players to join the servers. The reward system idea is a very good one, as then it is something to strive for - more active than passive. It would need to be carefully planned but I reckon it has potential

I think it'd be better if you could pay $0.50 for access to a kit for a week, then after the week you can optionally pay another $2 to get the kit. Same price, except you can get the kit for a week to try it out.

That is a really good idea! That way people still get to 'back out' if they don't like the kit, but can still get the kit for the same price if they want. Couple this with the rewards idea, and i think we have a very good addition

How long would the cooldown be on this? I could see people just buying the weeklong versions of each kit one after another. A week seems a bit long though I think it'd be fine if people had some sort of massive cooldown on being able to do this.

I don't see the harm in just buying weeklong versions infact if you kept doing it you would lose money

I guess that would be fair, it would just depend on whether someone was planning on playing for a long time or not (as after 5 weeks a kit would equal it's cost).

Also, if it is a weeklong version, then you get to buy it for $2 as you have already paid $0.50. If you get another weeklong trial, the price is still $2 at the end of the week, so it is only financially even if you trial for one week, otherwise you are paying $0.50 extra each week.

This would be a good idea because the player could try it out for 1-3 games and be tempted to buy it.

    Exactly

Also, if they decide they don't like it, they only pay 20% of the actual price rather than having an obsolete kit. It also provide more revenue for brawl as they have a guaranteed $0.50 with a possible extra $2 per each player that tries out a kit. I also think that it makes it a bit more player-friendly.

After 5 weeks, it'd be cheaper to just buy the kit permanently. I don't think buying it over and over again would really be a problem.

I don't really see any potential benefit in adding a cool down to this, so we are in total agreement, but perhaps you could get different time periods? (I am uncertain how this could tie in.)

However I think that keeping it to a purely one week loan basis is best.

The point of the kit trials isn't to get the kit for x amount of time, its to get it for a week to try it out before you spend much on it. It should be kept to 1 week, if its added.

Agreed, but in terms of getting it as a reward? Perhaps for a certain number of kills or for a win (or more), you should get a kit (maybe a random one?) on loan for 1-3 days? I think that this would add a new aspect to winning a game as you have a chance of getting a good kit on loan. (Examples of this can be seen in FIFA (and other sport games) where you open packs and the like, usually not getting much, but people like the random chance of getting something really cool, so i think that this would draw in more players as a result)

Every vote for brawl should be an hour with a kit of your choice at most, if its any longer they can just keep "trying" a kit they want to buy without paying and helping the server monetarily

I wouldn't think you would get a kit for voting, perhaps some sort of point system that you can cash in for various rewards, such as 'digger on loan' or '3 games with respawn in the first five minutes'.
